Has anyone who has gotten their documents use points rather than $$$$$, thus having DVC as your "travel agent"? I wonder if that is the hold up for me.

Oh well.....still plenty of time for them to come.

Marilee

We used points for our last cruise. We gave up a 12 day Christmas vacation to go. It was such and awesome trip. I was so torn as to give up the 12 for 7......

You should be receiving your documents soon. I don't remember receiving them last minute. Since I am not a last minute person.... I'm pretty sure that we got them early.

I found out (like how could I have not known) we have early seating for dinner. Darn it. We really have been talking late dining. What do you think? Will we be able to switch. I would think it would be easier to go from early to late; don't you.

Hey all!

We are going on the March 20 cruise. DVC members but new to cruising and totally clueless. 4 kids, boy 11, boy 9, girl 6, girl 4. My husband and I both celebrating our 40th. Would love to hear from anyone about anything we need to know. Cannot wait!!!

62travelDisney Welcome.. there are tons of tips on these boards to help you. Many of us are DVC too, we own at OKW. and have 2 boys 12 and 10..

WE have a list of all the DISers going on the cruise at ..
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=495527
email Kathy your info and she will include you on the list..

Welcome Laurie,

As with any trip to Disney, albeit park or ship. There is always something new so we are a little clueless as well. This time we are traveling with at to be 16 yo boy and 13 yo girl. This is such and inbetween age.

Where are you traveling from? Any questions just ask?

Miss Eeyore,
We still do not have our docs yet. We just joined DVC because we wanted to go on the cruise. I told my DH that I would love to go on the Disney Cruise, I thought he would say "Yeah Right" with that eyebrow thing going on, but he said "It makes more sense to join DVC and do something Disney every year!!" Well Disney..........???

I am so bummed out and it is snowing again in Minnesota...
I would love to do the Doc Dance with you all.

BTW we have late seating not by choice at first, but now I feel it is the better way to go after reading the boards.

One more thing, this is (I think) my seventh cruise and my husband has always brought and worn his Tux. This time he said he is not wearing his Tux, that one of his new suits is better than any old Tux. What is up with that???

I would think you could call them right away and they would be able to switch you now. Just think how happy you will make a family with toddlers that have been on the early dining wait list :goodvibes . If I am wrong, and they can't switch you now, there shouldn't be a bit of trouble once on board. I keep reading that main is the hard one to get, not late. Best wishes and happy planning :teeth:

It's changed, Thanks for the tip. I thought I had to go through my travel agent. DCL had originally told me several months ago that any changes had to be made through AAA who booked us. Of course now I'll be starving to death for dinner. Rick (DH) thought that it would be more adult if we went to late dinner. So now I have to go back through the posts to see who is going to late dinner. Finally!! Something to do.

Hello all. I just added 62travelDisney to our list. Could everyone check out the list to make sure I have all the info correct. I noticed a lot of you are talking about dining times and I know I don't have all that on the list.

Wow, 36 days to go!!! No docs but they'll get here. Our TA leaves tomorrow on her cruise, lucky lady. Weather is starting to improve in IA, temps are a bit warmer and the snow is starting to melt.

Kathy

We are in Room 7510. I'd like to get upgraded. Any experienced cruisers think that might be a possibility.

Hey dcvmomdeh,
I called about upgrading the other day. My husband thought it would be a nice surprise to tell me we could upgrade to the two bedroom...and DCL said this cruise was sold out. I do not know how many people cancel this close to the date, maybe some other members have a better idea.

We are in cabins 7110 & 7108 and we have late seating.

Looking forward to the cruise.

Dawn

Our cruise is sold out?????

Guess we're all lucky to be there!

Marilee....who is still pouting about no documents yet princess:

I am really not surprised that it is sold out as it is Spring Break for many school districts... IMHO..

Sold out? Not surprising. With the timing and the weather this winter around much of the country, who wouldn't want to book a cruise? I'd like to go now. It just snowed another few inches. I heard on the news we've had one day in February without snow!

Thanks for adding us to the list Kathy, is it posted somewhere? We have the early seating (I believe) and no DOCS yet. Thanks!
Laurie

Laurie did you get your questions answered??Traveling on the ship will be easy with the kids as they want to spend so much time in the LAb/Club with the other kids. Did you check out the activites for them on the Dave's site http://dcltribute.com/

Susan

Hearing that the cruise is sold out is not necessarily good news to my ears. We are still hoping that our 12 year and 10 month old daughter will be able to get bumped up into the teen club. They told me that it just depends on how many teens actually register for the club.

The gal I spoke with told me that I might want to reconsider as their may be 17 yo boys in the club and if she is only 12.10 she may not be comfortable. Then I started to be really be concerned about our decision to cruise Disney again. I hope she can get in because at 10 yo she HATED the Oceaneers Lab. She is very mature for her age.

So, I guess if an older teen isn't sure they are going to be spending time in the club they shouldn't registered so that others can be moved.

Of course my kids promise that they will keep each other company and that mom and dad will get some quiet time. We shall see..... AND it won't be long.

Dawn,

My son ( 1 week away from turning 13 on the cruise) will be in the teen group, as he refuses to consider the LAB again. My fear is that he will be too young to fit in and will be wandering the ship for the week.

I didn't know that some of the 12 year olds could get bumped up. I would feel better if he could have some 12 year old at the Teen club with him..then he might fit in more.

My 10 yo has informed us that the only time he is going to the lab is when they will be in the stack.. other than that, he wants to hang at the sports deck...
Whatever, we will be on the cruise, no snow, someone else will cook the meals and serve me.. life is good.. the kids will figure out what they are doing .
Hakuna Matata..
