Any idea when we will get a final list ?
Hi all!
Just a quick intro: my DH/60 and I/56 will be sailing on this cruise. This will be my 10th DCL cruise which is most exciting as it means I will be a Platinum Castaway Club member on my *next* cruise in May on the new Disney Fantasy! I have been on the 3-night Disney Dream cruise 5 previous times, so I mostly treat Nassau as a sea day (meaning that I camp out in the adult-only Quiet Cove area close to the pool and hot tub and just relax!). Others have posted a lot of great info for those of you who are first-timers, so scroll back and read their posts for packing and planning info. My recommendations are:
1) take the ship tour, usually offered right after boarding
2) ride the Aqua Duck water coaster at least once
3) forgo the fancy restaurants and just experience all 3 rotational dining restaurants since there are only 3 nights (next time, you can book Palo and/or Remy) - if you miss Animators Palate, you will be sorry!
4). Don't miss the fireworks on Pirate night!
5). Do at least one of the interactive mystery games that are unique to this ship
6)Bring a highlighter pen so you can plot out activities you do not want to miss in your Personal Navigator
7) Go to the shows! Disney has the best shows on the seas! Especially, do not miss the show that is exclusive to the Disney Dream, usually done on Sat night, called Disney's Believe!
8). Itinerary for packing/planning: usually, Thurs night - cruise casual b/c you may not get your bags to change for dinner (esp if you have Main or earlier dining time); Fri night after Nassau - Pirate night (costumes optional but fun!); Sat night after Castaway Cay - formal (optional) night. Kids dress up as pirates or princesses all the time and there are characters everywhere, plus set times to get in line to meet your favorites (the lines are WAY shorter than in the parks)
9)Don't be afraid to have fun and be a kid at heart - that's what Disney is all about!!
See you there!
Hi! Here is the final FE exchange spreadsheet.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmEo7JZWX9sydDFZcEt6amZXeFB2czVvY1c0Wi1FMWc#gid=0
I think it'll be more fun to spread out distribution of the goodies over the three nights that we're on the ship! I debated creating a schedule but realized some families may be making things for pirate night and would want to pass out their treats earlier in the vacation rather than later. So, let's all just try to space out our treat giving across the three nights. We have 10 staterooms participating!
If you know someone who is not on the disboards but on the exchange list, please pass this info to them! Thanks! As always, do not hesitate to ask any questions.
I can't wait!
Beth
Hi all.
Obviously I haven't been on in a while. I didn't realize someone organized this. If it's not too late, I'd love for my son, Aiden (age 6 turning 7), to participate. I added my name to the spreadsheet before I got down to the deadline post. Also, if it's not too late, has an approximate price been discussed?
Thanks,
Kimberly
Hello everyone ,
i know it`s verry late but ..... could we also join your FE
We are doing a b2b and totally forgot to check the board concerning our part 2 of this trip ! lol .... i was so into it, that for me, we were going on a 7 night cruise ... so didnt think twice about checking for a thread about our second segment
We are a family of 4, DD10 & DS7. We did FE for the first time last year ( after 8 disney cruises, we never knew what those were ) and we loved it so much. The fun we had before dinner to sneak and put away our gift in people fish extender was really really another one of the nicest experience our kids had on a Disney cruise.
We, then also, participated verry late in a group so we received only maybe 2 or 4 gifts out of the 15 stateroom that participated but, we didnt mind. We honestly had as much fun delivering ours. On some occasion i put myself various items in our fish extender and the kids were happy
So let us know if we can join you guys. We would really appreciate it. I will go now read the 4 pages of this thread.
Thank you
Josee, for the Barbeau family.
