March 19, 2011 Western on the Magic

I'm happy to take care of the lanyards. Once we have our logo, I'll use the color that matches it best? --or green for dis boards? Any thoughts? I'll get break away lanyards. We can just settle up the cost on board if that's ok with everyone.

I can also do shirts, but I am not sure if we want to do them as a group, or just do our own as Julianna07 mentioned? Either is fine by me. It would be one less thing for everyone to worry about if I get them all done at once, and we can settle the cost of those on board along with the lanyards--easy!!

Let me know what you think and I'll get it all started...

the only reason I thought of doing our own is with 30+ families... it would be a lot of shirts to buy, (in different sizes) the iron on papers, the ink jet cartridges, the ironing the images on the shirts, then transporting them all to the port.... I thought it was a BIG undertaking.... Once we have decided the Logo we can all save it and print it and iron on our own for our individual families. That way it saves time and hassles for one person who is also trying to organize their own packing.

No offense is intended, I just thought it might be simpler.:confused3

Wow, everyone is so busy doing everything! Would love to have a lanyard since we won't get one with first cruise and all. I need to get some magnets done this weekend. Never done them so I am hoping it will turn out ok.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Oh yes! I am so not crafty at ALL. I will pay you if you can do our shirts. I am searching to find someone also who can make our FE. I tried making the no sew one and actually glued my finger to the material. Not kidding my family thought it was a riot! Needless to say I bought all my FE stuff so everyones safe ;)

There is a lady on ebay--gradysmommy who makes them. I think they are well done. I am waiting for ours from her.

Tweet shirts are easy. If you can use an iron you can make a shirt. Check the DisDesigns. There is a thread with really good instrucitons. For our trip to WDW 2 years ago, I made the girls shirts for the whole trip and it only took a Sunday afternoon. It is worth the extra money to buy the dark transfers, they look much better when they are done.

Looks great! I don't think we will get the t-shirts, but I might make a magnet out of that!

Thanks for designing it! :thumbsup2

Thanks - those are wonderful. DD and I will definitely make a magnet for the door.

(Couldn't resist being post #250 on the thread!)

Happy Wednesday all!

Is anybody ordering baskets from Shirley for their cabins. I am thinking about doing one for the girls and a second for dh and I. I have no idea what I want in them. Do I really want the sand toys? We won't be able to take them home with us and will need to leave them in Tampa with my Aunt.

Erin

Thanks for doing this. Question for you and the group. We booked Palo for evening of Day 5 (Cozumel) apparently that is the Pirate night. We have kids and I expect they would love Pirate night so... Is the Key West night a good Palo night? Very few reservations are left. Do they release some as the cruise nears?

What is our FE count up to? I have some time this weekend to work on some--just wondering what the count is up to. Thanks!!!

Shirley from The Perfect Gift makes gift baskets and has them delivered to your stateroom before you arrive. I always have Memories form Betsy make the girls and dh.

I thought Pirate night was the night of the Caymans. At least it is on this navigator:

We are doing the brunch on the Key West Day. I can't wait!

I think I remember someone asking about the When is what rotation... I asked my Disney DCL TA when I booked if she knew what was when and I got some info...

1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th night is Cruise Casual
3rd Night is Formal (Prince and Princess night)
5th night is Pirate Night
6th is Semi-Formal

this is the days of what is going on on our cruise. I asked the Disney TA

I think this is where I was confused when I made our Nachi Cocum reservations. Did Disney swap Cozumel and Grand Cayman in the line-up of stops?

Well, at least we'll have the at-sea day to rest up from Nachi Cocum and Pirate night!

AbsyBabsy-
Can we join the FE? I was trying to resist since it's our first cruise, but everyone keeps talking about it and I'd like to participate! Please let me know. Thank you!!
