Hello you awesome people of Disboards land, ;) me and my family are going to DLR on Wednesday and well, we got some questions for you!
-do you guys think it will be crowded?
- How big is the house of blues at downtown disney?
-there is a Delirious? concert at the house of blues, do you think it will be crowded? I mean, we got the tickets, they werent sold out but hmmmm
- do you think we can fit DLR in 8 little hours?
- How much are their Mad Hatter hats?
- How much are the princess tiaras? (for young adults:)?)
- Is eating at the House of Blues expensive?
- How should we make our way across the park? we want to do nemo first so start from there?
- Anyone going to be there also?
-will the parade be going on? i checked on the DLR site and it says no parade is scheduled :(
- Finally, how do you guys where your lime mickey ears? I put mine on my bag and it kind of fell off, plus if I passed by a Dis'er they didnt notice it XD
Thanks you guys!

Woohoo! You are going to disneyland this Wednesday! :cool1: I can't answer any of your questions but one.... I do not think you can do Disneyland in 8 hours and enjoy yourself (meaning feeling like you felt rushed, wanting to do more, etc.) I would suggest that you find out what one ride is most important to everyone in your party and try to make sure that you guys fit those in.
Have a great trip!

sadley thats what I thought:( but were going to try! lol I think we can do it but if not we always got july! thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it greatly! Thanks!

Never been to HoB but have fun!!! I think your crowds should be lighter but it's hard to say for sure. It seems like Tues-Thurs are best for crowds. :) 8 hrs is so not enough for DL, sorry but it just isn't. As the PP suggested make a list of what's most important, do everyone's number 1 and go from there. Make sure to use FP too!!

ok! thank you! we love to use the FP system it saved us so much time on our last trip!

We ate at the House of Blues last week. I didn't find it to be a very big restaurant (the main floor where we were seated). The food was good (my son says the BBQ Chicken pizza was the bomb!). The picture is of the pizza & the menu, but the words are a bit small for reading.

Plan on it being very busy in the parks & DTD as spring break has hit Disneyland. We left Saturday morning & the crowds were unbelievable. The line just to get thru security was backed way into DTD & was said to be almost a 30-40 wait to get thru....then they still had to line up for the gates!!! :scared1:

Get there early and hit the rides you want to see first, get Peter Pan and the big rides done first and send runners to get FP. REad the board for tips.

The mnu is older but that will give you an idea of the prices.
yeah we are leaveing at 7am hopeing to get there like 8am then wait in line

Delirious? is going to be there? Wow; that's so awesome! Wish I could be there!!!

I've never been to House of Blues but even if it sells out, I reckon Delirious? fans are pretty civil so I think it should be fine. There certainly wasn't any rioting or anything at their concert I went to a couple years ago. ;) You'll have such a good time!

I think the park should be less crowded than a weekend...I've heard that Southern California isn't on Spring Break yet so it shouldn't be TOO awful, at least, in theory. Getting there early and using Fastpass are a smart plan regardless and I like the advice of making sure to do everyone's favorite ride and then anything else is a bonus.

And I don't believe the new parade at Disneyland has started, no...but if I only had 8 hours I wouldn't bother waiting around for a parade anyway. (I like parades but with limited time I'd rather go on rides instead of sitting around for an hour to see a parade.)

Someone here mentioned that they preferred to bring their own outside tiara, versus buying a Disney one...I think she got hers at Claire's and it was nicer and less pricey than a Disney one. So you might consider going that route. I don't think too many outside shops sell Mad Hatter hats, though. ;)

Have a wonderful time!

Hey there! Indy! :)

Awesome that you will be going to DL very soon. Y'all have a great time now, ya hear?! Visit the pirates and the HM for me please.
Regarding tiaras, I had purchased a cute skelly/pirate one for only $10.00, back in 07', matter of fact, all of the tiaras that I had seen were that price as well. And these prices were the same as of last August too. These are really very nice, and most suitable for all ages. Some have skelly designs, some do not. So there is something for everyone. I very much like all of their tiaras. :)
Yes you will be able to enjoy your visit at Dl. working within an 8 hour or so time frame. It is just important to know what interests you the most in doing, do not bother with long sit down meals (TS)
Fast pass, fast pass, fast pass! Remember, you can use them past the window of time that is issued on them. I like to get FP's for my most favorite rides, such as Indy, even if it does not look like I may need it, I will get new ones, as one is allowed to do that according to the machines.
Just a thought too, about the LGMH's being you could always make one into a barrette or hair clip, and place it into your hair. Cute little earrings could be made too.
Sorry, but so far, I am coming up empty for my searching for the cost of the mad hatter hats. If I find that out, between today and tomorrow, I will let you know.
I believe like the pp's that crowd levels will be fine during this Wed.

I was actually at the park today and things weren't horrible. Yes at times it was irritating moving around people and getting from place to place, but it didn't keep us from having a good time. Some waits were sitting right at 60 minutes, but we timed it well enough that we only had to wait 25 minutes max. In the 6.5 hours we were at the park we got on at least 7 rides, had plenty of time to stop and take pictures, and of course food was thrown in there as well....

We did make it a few hours Sunday evening, things were packed. Didn't see much of the parks, but waits to eat in DTD was up around 2 hours (just to eat)....but from what I've it looks like a lot of locals. The hotels around here don't even seem to be that busy.

I will say that a lot of the lines did seem very long, but moved extremely quickly so props to the cast members. I would hope that many locals took an extended weekend today...things will hopefully gradually decrease throughout the week. I'm sure Friday will be crazy, especially with the Cheerleaders in town beginning this weekend.

sounds good, sounds good:) hope you had fun:) yep i hope my fellow locals are back at work tommorrow lol thanks so much!

Just pray it's not sold out. I went to the HoB in Anaheim at a sold out show and was just THANKFUL I had an all access pass so that I wasn't down in the pit. It was crazy crowded down there; if even one person moved the whole crowd moved. It's not huge but it's an ok sized venue
