We were on the Dream back to back in March! Does your son go to the kids area? My sons name is Alec. I will find out his Xbox name (he changes it a lot!). Maybe they can talk in the next couple of weeks! -Diane

Sorry, I did not answer one of your questions. He did not spend that much time in the kids area on our 2011 spring break cruise, but he did spend time playing basketball on the top deck with the other boys later in the day. Since it was a 3-day cruise, we stayed really busy and there was not much time left for the kids area.

I have added Green Food Coloring to our packing list Along with my daughter's Irish dance shoes, maybe she will give an improv dance on Saturday Pretty sure she will, it will be the lightest St Pat's dancing day for her in the last 3 years.

We will be wearing Green, for sure! It's our last name ("Green"), and even though we're more Scottish, we proudly rep on St. Pattie's Day!!!

I was wondering how the FE gifting will go? My group's preference would be to have each cabin/traveling group be responsible for 1 gift/goodie bag, on a designated day of the trip. Right now we have 11 cabins (I think) or 10 "groups"... we could have 2 groups per day deliver gifts to cabins?

Does that make sense?

Were you on the 3 day or the 4 day last Spring Break? We were also on the Dream last year for Spring break..We spent the 1st half of Spring Break on SGI and the second half on the Dream..

I'll chime in here and say that I think a deadline of 2/1 or 2/15 would be good so that we have an idea of how many to plan for.

I second the February 1st Deadline... that way we still have a little over a month to get everything together, for those of us that are OCD and NEED to plan.

Be careful wearing green. Don't know if Disney uses one of those screens where they add the picture in later or not. On our last NCL cruise DS was wearing a Miami Dolphins jersey and standing where there was water. He looked like a head with no body!Luckily the photo staff was able to fix the picture for us.

Hi, we just booked our Spring Break cruise (3/17) and are so excited! We are going on the Fantasy 3/23/13 and just realized... we couldn't wait that long! So we just booked this spring break, too. My husband and I went on the Dream 12/1 to try it all out and we were hooked - btw our kids don't know that.

I would love to get my family excited by doing this FE exchange! I've read several blogs online that detail what people exchange (store bought, home-made, etc) but I'm getting into this thread late and I am wondering if (instead of reading 10 pgs of posts) someone could tell me what you'll be doing for exchange? If I may join? I did see a post from someone about their being 10-11 families currently signed up and maybe a deadline? I would think this spring break cruise would be booked full by sailing - - I've read of some FE exchanges getting really big - 60ish. Will this FE be secret drop-offs?

We have the following people traveling, Me (DetailGal), DH (SportGuy), DS (ShyGuy, age 9), DS (Mr. Imagination, age 7), and DD (CrazyPrincessGal, age 3.5).

As for the cruise in general I feel bad I've missed 10 pages of posts (I read a couple pgs worth!). Have any meets been set up? Thanks so much!

Welcome to our cruise and welcome to the Dis!

This is the quiet group so you haven't missed too much with not reading all 10 pages As far as the FE goes, you can deliver your gifts without a name so its a secret or you can put your name on it. Most put their names on it. Either way is fine. I did posts some link a couple pages back that might help you even more.
You are more than welcome to join the FE group! Deadline is Feb 15. I do not see our group going over 20 cabins.

I checked and it looks like we were on the 3/24 sailing of the Dream last spring break. Our area of the country must have had spring break a week later than yours last year.

Sorry all, Haven't been on for a month, so busy at work. We are still cruising and still want to do the FE list. I'm surprised it isn't busier. Our last cruise in November was only a 3 day on the Dream and we had 20 families participate. I private messaged you our info. YOu may want to e-mail the others that you haven't heard from. They may just be busy. I had no idea that I wasn't still on the list. Can't wait to meet you all.

The weather is usually warm, but breezy. Since we live in Florida, we find the ocean at Castaway Cay way too cold this time of year. When we went in November, it was freezing, but our Northern friends were swimming. We will bring swim suits and at least enjoy the beach and the yummy lunch. I hope it will be warmer in the Cayman's. We haven't planned any excursions. We may just go to the beaches and relax.

Anyone have any idea what to expect about temperatures at our ports? I'm worried about not taking the right thing to wear...trying to shop for clothes but unsure of the temps. Don't want to over dress or under dress for the weather...also don't want to book an excursion in the water if it will not be warm enough to swim. I've researched on line but what I've found is not very helpful.

Now that our last little bit of traveling (we had to take DS to Washington DC to consult with a doctor) before our Disney cruise is done I can fully focus on getting ready. I'm starting to get very excited. One of the best part of cruising for me is that I don't have to do anything. We do a lot of traveling in timeshares, condos, etc where even though we're on vacation I'm still cooking and whatnot. I finally finished my planning binder and I'm working on our door magnets. Still haven't been able to pin DH down on any excursions.
