We got a 10:30 PAT, Palo Brunch, and booked the Junkanoo Tour in Nassau. Anyone have recommendations for activities at Castaway with DD (11)?

All we booked was Palo Brunch. What's a PAT? No excursions at Nassau for us. I think we'll stay onboard and enjoy the empty pools and Aquaduck.

My kids are small (DS8, DD3) but if they were older, I would definitely do a bike ride and lots of laying on the beach!!!!

Also, is she a strong swimmer? I can't wait to swim out to Pelican Plunge, although I'll be doing it alone.

PAT is Port Arrival Time. We rethought the Blue Lagoon and, with the beach day at Castaway, switched to the Junkanoo island and fort tour in Nassau.

I am so excited to do Palo brunch!

My DD is an excellent swimmer. We are thinking about doing the snorkeling at Castaway. Does anyone know if we can bring our own gear and snorkel independently? Research, research....

Just put in that you are driving to port or put in dummy info. That is what everyone else does/recommends. You can always go back and edit. Get in there!

I'm glad it worked! Did you get an early PAT?

We are wondering the same. It looks like you can bring your own snorkel gear to Castaway and the vests are provided for free. I think we will definitely do that to save some $$ and might do a bike or float rental.

Does anyone know anything about the water bikes? I don't see them reservable but my DD is obsessed as she has seen the pictures.

I would just select noon. Usually you get there by 1pm, so unless something unusual happens, you'll check in and walk onboard the ship immediately after.

If you think you will spend the day mostly in the water, the floats are nice to have. If you have morning excursions planned, and will be swimming later in the day - there are always a ton of abandoned floats on the water's edge in the afternoon that you can use. The CMs don't pick them up until the end of the day.

If you really like to snorkel, we've found it's worth it to buy a snorkel set at Target and take it on our cruises - especially for the kids. We just don't bring the fins to save on space. They aren't that expensive and we've used them multiple times.

Don't feel like you have to pre-order these items from DCL - they have multitudes of them and you can just walk up to the window of the rental hut on CC and pay with your KTTW card. Same for bikes. That way, just in case there is bad weather you are not committed to spending that money until you are there.
