March 16th, 2013- 7-Night on Disney Fantasy

So wanted to stop by and say, hey. I leave on Friday on a cruise on the Magic and then after that this will be the next cruise:cool1:

What is the Link to The Facebook Page? I use Facebook alot more than DISboards haha:rotfl2:

I just booked, this will be my fourth Disney Cruise Line!!
It will be my birthday celebration and a big celebration for my best friend who has already lost 100 lbs...looking forward to this one.

Hi Everyone :wave2:! I'm on this cruise too, along with my family - DH, DD(11) and DD(10), and can't wait to explore the Fantasy! This will be our 4th Disney cruise, the last time was in 2008 when the kids were younger, so this will be a fun new experience. We are travelling with another family of 4, we're from Ottawa, ON. I'm wondering if my daughters could maybe make some friends (through email or ichat) before the cruise, so if you have kids that might want to do this let me know.
We are spending 1 week pre-cruise at Disneyworld (Animal Kingdom Villas) + Universal Studios. The Fantasy looks amazing - I'm looking forward to so many things that weren't on the Magic. :yay:

Shonna this is your cousin Angela, Wow we are going on the same cruise! Mom, Dad, Cliff, Stephanie, and my friends Christina and Ernie and their daughters are going! Are you first seating or late seating for dinner?

Its Been A While Since I've Been on but i wanted to ask all the parents if there were any teens me and my husbands age group (17-23)??? ;-)

I'll be 25, so close to your age

So tonight we decided to check out the DisBoards thinking we were really early considering the Cruise isn't until March. Wow, were we wrong about that!

We are very excited about our second Disney Cruise and our First on the Fantasy. Our son, who will be 13 on the cruise but is presently 12 and my daughter, who is 9, are wanting to chat with other kids about their upcoming cruise. Has there been a forum set up for the kids yet? There was a very active one for our last cruise.

The facebook group for this cruise is titled:

March 16th, 2013- 7-Night on Disney Fantasy. :wave2:

The wife and I going on first cruise ever on Fantasy to Western Caribbean , Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Costa Maya and castaway. Are their any excursions that anyone would recommend or ones to stay away from. First time so we want to make sure we do it right. We will be going in February 2013. I appreciate any help givens.

We are only 30 days from booking all our fun. I have been trying to search the boards for hints on excursions, dining, etc. We have sailed the Wonder twice, but this will be our first time on one of the new ships. This is what we want to do, please let me know if you have seen anything on the boards or otherwise that we might need to consider. We are thinking dolphins at Grand Cayman, our son, 11, really wants to see ruins at Costa Maya, of course we will go to our favorite place in Cozumel which is Nachi Cocom. My question is does anyone know what the current entertainment shows (not movies) are on Fantasy and what day they are shown? I called, but DCL says they are subject to change. I just do not want to miss one of the new shows like Aladdin or Believe by booking Remy or Palo. I know they may change, but I would rather hedge my bets. :)

My husband will be celebrating a birthday as well, 45 yo, If you make a shirt for your husbands birthday, would you mind sharing it with me? I'm on fb if you prefer that media Liz Garrett Green.

So all I have to say is :faint: you guys started this puppy early. The one I am on for our Mexico cruise this November only just picked up. Needless to say, I have not gotten through all the posts yet but wanted to say you now have two, maybe three, new participant for the FE group... if there is still room. I have subscribed to both threads. I look forward to getting to know all of you ::yes::

Once I have caught up will post more :surfweb:

Hi Stephanie!

Welcome to the group! Sorry it's taken me a bit to get back to you, my life got a little crazy there for a bit and I was off the boards. But I am back on and have your information down to get you added to the FE list of families participating!

The fish extender group is basically a gift exchange. The Fish Extender itself is a pocket panel you hang from the fish shaped hook outside your stateroom. These can be homemade or you can purchase them on sites like Etsy, you can also find some pictures on Google or DIS forums. Families that join the FE group hang the Fish Extender outside their cabin and then, once the cruise gets underway, participants deliver little gifts to the others participating in the group by leaving them as a surprise in the fish extender pockets. One fun aspect of taking part in a fish extender group is checking in throughout the day to see what little goodies are waiting!

It's a ton of fun, not just for kids, and you can either give one gift to each cabin, or a gift to each person in the cabin. You can give gifts a few times throughout the cruise or just once. There are no rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Often times, the gifts are handmade, but not always. No real set rules, just exchange and have fun! Gifts can be homemade or storebought, Disney, non-Disney, totally up to you! That's part of the fun . . . the variety of neat things that everyone brings!

I am getting the list of participants updated and should have it ready to go in an hour or so. It is the Google Docs link at the beginning of this thread. You can go in and update your information anytime and add any notes about favorite characters, etc.

You can also get to know others participating in the FE by joining our Facebook group. You can find it under March 16th, 2013- 7-Night on Disney Fantasy.

Hope that's helpful! Oh and do you guys have a cabin number?
