March 15-22, 2008 Eastern - Way-Way Early Check In

Hello Nancy! I'm not sure what time the shows are over. Does 9:30 or 10:00 sound okay? Where do you think would be a good place to meet?

It looks like Twice Charmed will be over at 9:30. We can meet after that, or maybe earlier - before dinner. Whatever you prefer. Heyyy....is that a Margarita & Tequila tasting I see from 4 - 5? Hmmm....

At 9:30, it appears that Studio Sea will be dark, the Promenade Lounge will have live music, The Rockin D Bar will have Elite Showband (?), and Sessions will have Piano Favorites.

We have late dinner seating. How about 10:00 at Diversions? Is this the place that is supposed to have a "pub" atmosphere? I would like to do a tasting, but haven't decided yet.

If anyone needs to meet earlier that's okay too.

As for the kid's meet on Sat. at 11:00 my kids will be wearing green beads (I know for sure my dd will, not so sure about ds 13).

Diversions @ 10pm it is. I'll put it on the meet list on page 1 post #8.

DD10 & DD5 will have beads as well - and they'll have extra to share, just in case.

I'm wanting to do the Margartia & Tequila tasting, but I thought it was on Monday. Is it on St. Pat's Day? That would be fun, since margaritas are usually green :rotfl:

Are you looking at a recent Navigators or do they have the schedule somewhere on the website?

I wanted to do the margarita tasting too! Meeting up on St Patricks Day sounds fun also!

We are counting the days here!

Julie

You all may already know this but there is an Eastern Navigator from the Jan. 19th sailing posted. Just click on Staterooms and you should find it.

5 WEEKS!!!!!! Can you believe it!

Hmmm - now you've got me thinking. When is St. Patrick's Day? Or, rather, when are we celebrating it? Or when is Disney celebrating it? Normally it is the 17th, but it appears that the Catholic Church moved the celebration to the 15th because it conflicted with Holy Monday. Who knew???:confused3

So - are we doing the St. Patrick's Day meet on Saturday night or Monday night?

As for the margarita tasting - I'm up for it, but we're doing Palo tea from 3 - 4, so I'll be rushing from that to the margarita tasting to early dinner. Whew! I thought this was going to be a vacation! :rotfl2:

Someone posted a 1/19/2008 Navigator (thank you edmartin). I found it under Planning, Navigators.

Nancy

Did someone say margarita tasting??? See ya there . . .I'll be the early one!!!

And my boys will have beads on for the 11:00 meeting at the terminal too. We just got a ton from Mardi Gras so we're prepared!

Wrightz05---small world. Your family is not too far from us.

Nancy---I think stick with Monday the 17th for St Patricks Day since Sun is formal night and Tuesday is Pirate Night. I am always up for a party/get-together! And thanks for being the organizer /planner and keeping up with all the updates!

Pammy jo--I am right there with you at the Rita tasting. I might also be found at the wine tastings too----it's is vacation after all.

We have our green beads for the terminal meet. We stil need to work on our magnetic door signs. Is it obvious that I am obnoxiously excited about this cruise??!!

Julie

Hello all,
this is our first cruise vacation. This was a Christmas surprise for our kids and a 50th birthday gift for my husband.
we are all very excited and can't wait to go.
any tip would be greatly appreciated.

bursting out of excitment:rotfl:

Welcome disneycrazy2004!

We are very excited at our house too (or at least I am). I keep pestering everyone else with questions. The trip is coming up fast!

As far as tips, you probably should just surf the Cruise Forum pages. I've picked up a lot of information from there.

How old are your kids?

Carol

Kids are 10 and 7 and can't wait - the countdown is on big time.
I use to work on cruise ships for 4 year and can't wait to go back as a passenger, especially on a Disney cruise.

It is going to be so awesome.

Sure! I guess I'll start with the people who have expressed interest. That's you, carolmp, julie t, limati, and me.

So - what do I need to include with the list? disboard name, deck, and something you'll have on the door that will identify you?

Nancy

Sorry, I've had a nasty cough again, and it's been sapping all energy out of me. But yes, that's pretty much what folks need to include. Exact cabin number is optional - Personally, I had fun getting my kids to help me find rooms by deck and door decorations last trip :-)

Hmm... I better get DD onto that door decoration thing when we're off on Tuesday, or it'll never get done before the trip.

So much to do, so little time to get it done. I've got a "hurry up and get here" and "Ack! too much to do before then!" war going on in my head. If you don't see me much on here in the next couple of weeks, it's because I'm desperately trying to get to the point that I won't have to take my laptop with me to work on either my school or work stuff while on the trip.

-Liz / Cozit (forward on deck 7... not sure of decorations yet, but "Cozit" might show up... not sure):scared1:

Don't forget those Navigators *can* change from trip to trip - I know I saw a Navigator from only a week or two before my last trip, and it was different (same destinations/length) than ours in several spots.

As far as get-togethers on-board go... I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, so I have to check out where I can be on board. Last time most of the "adult areas" were off-limits if I wanted to continue to be able to breathe. Shame as I wanted to check out a couple of the clubs there.

I hope the Navigators stay the same or close because my DD (10), 10 on 3/11, has made a binder and highlighted everything she wants to do. She torn between staying with the 8-9 or moving up to 10-12 because 8-9 has cookie making...

Well, that's a tough decision. I'm not sure what I would do.:goodvibes

There are a lot of 10 year old girls on this trip. Would your daughter like to email my DD10? She just turned 10 in January. It's nice to make a few friends before you go. Just send me a PM if she's interested.

Carol

So ready for this cruise!!:cool1: There is just not another vacation like a Disney cruise. Every time we go , I am always much more excited than my kids. Anyone else the same way??

Pop5, I totally agree with you. My husband is grouchy when I talk to him about this. My son (13) is excited but doesn't say much. I showed him a picture of the banana boat ride and he is now not sure he wants to go. On the other hand, I am going nuts!!! It is all I can think about. I have gotten the over-the-door shoe holder, I have designs ready to print on the magnetic paper for the door. I am working on pirate costumes. I bought my formal outfit this past weekend. AND suitcases - got a bargain - a set of 4 for $89 at Penney's morning sale (reg. $260). I read this board several times a day as well as the hints boards. Boy, oh boy, is this going to be fun.....
Counting the days...
