March 15, 2015 MAGIC Cruise!! :)

Noodlesmom & Lexiconjoe, I just sent both of you PMs with my daughter's text number. Have yours send her a text. We may have a good sized group of young ladies.

It sounds like a couple of you will be on the 9:15 dolphin swim & turtle farm excursion with us. That's great news! We're really excited about it.

Hi my name is Shayln. I will 14 on this cruise and I'll be in vibe. I would love to get to know your daughter because its definitely easier and more fun to know someone before we board the cruise. I have almost every social media app so we can start talking on there or does your daughter have an account on here so we can talk? so excited for the cruise! see you all real soon! :cool1:

Hi Shayln. We're excited too! My DD is especially excited to meet a new friend. She doesn't have a DISboards account but hopefully you guys can communicate soon.

Crafty Emily I posed the same question and yes we are past deadline and the two cabins from the original list haven't been back to the board or even the Dis since sept. 16 families so 15 gifts is what I am going with. We just need cabin numbers from The two newest folks! ;)

Our stateroom is 2002. Thanks for including us. Very excited! If you need names:
DH-Tony
DW-Stacia
DD-Reagan (10)
DS-Alex (6 to start cruise, turning 7 on Mar. 18th)

Let me know if you need any additional information. I'm still "earning my ears" as they say and am not able to send any messages until I have so many posts.

We arrive in Grand Cayman at 7:30 am. Do you think we could tender to meet a private tour company on the pier by 8:15 am? I don't think there are many Disney - sponsored excursions leaving that early? What do you think?

Hi all,

The FE list is updated. We are waiting for NoodlesMom to get a stateroom number. In the event that it is not available until she and her family check in, I'd like to suggest that she make a phone call to each of our staterooms (as listed on the thread) to let us know where to find her!

As to getting off early at Grand Cayman, I'd suggest just going down to the exit and filling in all available seats on the tender, as they say. Plus if you're a wee bit late, I'm sure your people will wait for you!

Shayln, I will send you a PM with my daughter's contact info.

And I think it's safe to say that the Mickey Mail watch has begun in our household! I never really do anything with the booklet we receive, but its arrival is a welcome sight.

Which private tour are you doing? My family needs to be on the pier at 8:15am as well. We are using Native Ways.

I didnt plan an excursion for key west. Would love some tips from anyone that has been before.
Thanks,
Kathy

Ok, great. I can do that. I just hope I get a number before boarding. I completely forgot that I booked *gt and I was assigned 12 days away. Crossing my fingers.

I'd love for my kids to meet other kids prior to the trip and get some ideas on excursions everyone is doing! On our Alaska trip we get great non Disney excursions suggested by others and had some great times!

Welcome Meghan! ... My DD Shayln is also 14 ... She would love to chat prior to the cruise ... I will send you a Private Message

Our daughter is 15 and would also love to chat. It looks like there will be a great group of girls 14-15 on this cruise. I will send you a PM with her details.

I'm not sure whether you can read a PM until you have 10 posts, just FYI.

Kathy, I have never been to Key West before so no great advice! We booked a on/off trolley tour privately and hope to see Southernmost point and get some pie.

Meghan welcome! Happy to have you!!! :)

Noodles mom I had another idea if you didn't want to call everyone. ..you could deliver your gifts early and stick a little card in them with your room number. Hopefully you will get it in advance!

Paper traveller I'm so excited for mickey mail too! It's usually 30-45 days right? Hopefully our TA will get it to us quickly. I just love looking at those luggage tags!

My DH & I had a cruise stop at Key West many years ago, probably 14 or 15 years ago. If I recall, a lot of the things we wanted to do were all within walking distance of the dock. We did a tour of the Little White House, I remember that, and it was kind of cool.

We are using Cayman Eco Adventures. It is a risk to be off the ship by 8:15, for sure. There are 5 other early DCL-sponsored tours that will have have priority for the tenders before us. We plan to get our tender-ticket as early as possible and hope we make it. DCL says to allow 30-40 min to disembark if you are not on one of their excursions. Our private tour people say that Disney is usually pretty smooth and they think we can make it (although they will have our money!). We are going to go for it! The tour really is exactly what we want.

:welcome: Meghan!

I have a 12 yo DS and he would be interested in texting your ds. PM me and we can set it up. He and Nike2000's ds are texting, although at this age, they aren't too consistent, lol!! Nonetheless, if you are looking for someone for you ds to explore with, eat ice cream with and do the Aquadunk, our ds' are a good fit!

Meghanabc, I second 3Goofy's hearty "Welcome!"

I've sent you a PM about connecting our daughters. I guess I should have included info about my son as well! I guess I need to send another PM. Let's get the girls connected so they have some built-in friends for day 1.

Hello,

There's been so much contact - that's awesome!

I'm hoping to connect with other 6 year olds for my son. We did our first disney cruise 1/2013 disney fantasy. This will be our second disney cruise. Although my son doesn't know about this yet, his first call from chRacter will be 2/17. He has battled cancer twice already, but tends to be very shy. I would love to connect with some future friends so that he's comfortable and excited for friends on the ship.

He wasn't a big fan of kids club because of his shyness. So I'm hoping this forum will help or direct me to a pre-cruise meet.

He does have his hair and is in remission again, but still in a less aggressive therapy.
I am currently a nursing student, and work for a landscaping excavating company running the office. We have our hands full and looking forward to being far away from the hospital. :)
