March 14, '10 "Wonder"ful cruise!!

checking in today from my desktopMy laptop is out of commission. DS spilled water on it last night and now it won't even turn on.
I was told to put it in rice and leave it for a few days To pull out moisture I guess.
It does not look hopeful. I am so upset. The laptop is so important to me. Oh well....thank god I was done my report cards already. or I would have been even more upset.
Meet and greet sounds cool. I will try hard to remember the time and place.
Yesterday my laptop incident was not the only 'bump". My van battery died, I fell down our hardwood stairs (I am okay. Just bruised and a bit sore) and DS was not having a good reaction to the oclusion therapy/patching we are doing again. It was just one of those days. (I was home on a day off to take my son to a appointment. Told DH I should have been at work)
I am sooooo looking forward to this trip.
Good news though---the weather forecast for the 14th is looking nice and a bit warmer on most accounts so far. Mid 70sHope that stays.
Also, the Cdn dollar went up a bit and is almost at .97.

IF you order food from bars is that covered or out of pocket? (I know drinks you pay for) Also, I swear I read here somewhere that people take their mugs with beverage of choice into the bars. Is this true??

No you don't need these, you can always get towels for beach at CC and also even your day trips off the ship.
IF you order food from bars is that covered or out of pocket? (I know drinks you pay for) Most food is covered but just a few odd things are not and you will understand that when you see it, like at the coffee shop but for the most part Yes it is all covered.

You can not get any bar drinks free

Pagers for kids work kind of like one way, you get a text mostly if they need you to come or call them.Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.

I've been away for awhile and noticed we added one more group to our FE. Great! The more the merrier. I had everything done for this, but I hope to get to the store, and pick up some more.

No problem, Prissy 1975! I'm glad you found this board and got to join us in the fun.

I am so glad you ask about the meet and greet. I must of missed that one. I didn't know we were going to do that. We will try our best to be there. With 5 kids going every which way, and being on vacation mode, sometimes time just slips on by.

I am starting to put things into the suitcases. I was hoping we could get by with 3 suitcases, Ha, who was I trying to fool. I'm going to give each of my girls a small suitcase of their own, get me and the boys in one, husband in a small one, and one for our days before the cruise, so everyone doesn't have to open all the suitcases to get ready.
I am debating on whether to bring our shoe holder to hold all the stuff in the bathroom. Seems like lots of people recommend this, but I am starting to think it's only 4 days. I DON'T want to overpack!!

I am sooo excited I cannot sleep!!
I was up since 3:40 am and not able to get back to sleep as all I could do was run things through my head. I have lists everywhere.
By the time I left for work at 7am I was tired though.
Tomorrow after work DD and I are getting our pedicures
Looks like Sunday will be clear and sunny for the sail away party.
Do a lot of people do the door magnets on a 4 night cruise?? I had a blast making these.
What sort of things should I expect for my daughter's age group (12)??

You poor thing. I hate when you have so much going on in your mind that you cannot get back to sleep.

A clear day for sail away, I hope we have a nice day at Castaway Cay, too!

I have no idea what the planned activities are for the kids club. I remember the first time we went my girls got bored in the kids club, so they hung around us, but met up with friends by the pool and did things with them. This was 7 years ago, so I am sure the clubs are a lot of fun and have many things to do.
