Well I have started the actual packing. Have made my lists and checked them twice, and then once more to be sure.

DD, DDIL, GD, and DIL's parents left this afternoon. They are driving. Our flight leaves at 7:30 AM Sunday. Due to arrive Orlando at 10:30. Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the airport to the port?

In less than 48 hours we"ll be sailing.

Usually it takes an hour to get from Orlando to the Port

We made it to Orlando, was a little scared as the flight from Buffalo went mechanical but Delta was great and was able to get us here we did have to drive to Rochester but we
made it

Posting from the Hyatt MCO airport. Picking up the rental car by 9am. After buying some snacks, water and other beverages, we'll be on our way to Port.

Flew Southwest from Buffalo to Orlando. Uneventful flight, just crowded and slow at the baggage carousels (they were mixing bags from multiple flights).

Glad to hear from those of you checking in during your travels! We slept "for the night" (actually 2.5 hours) in Jacksonville due to my being unable to do laundry, sort and pack in under 12 hours. Maybe if I'd spent less time at work this week, it could have happened...

But the good news is I'm up first and get to shower in relative peace. Can't wait to meet you all. We'll be the family with dark circles under their eyes with hoarse voices and little patience for one another, but we'll try to be nice to you!

So, we wait and wait to board. Kids are NOT happy campers! We'll want lunch when we get on, but then it will be close to dinnertime. Oh well, just happy they're finally boarding. This has put a bad taste in DH and DD for another Disney cruise.

Wasn't that insane? I totally missed the dismeet because of that. Loved our serving team and are requesting them on July. We did agree that we like the Magic more. Wauting for the rest of 2012 and 2013 schedule.

We arrived at PC for 10:30am but after was said and done, didn't sit down for lunch (at Enchanted Garden) until 3:30pm! Pity the 1800 cruisers who had to wait for hours OUTSIDE the terminal!

We missed the DISmeet of course. Did anyone manage to make it?

I had posted a magnet exchange list, but it seems not all participated in the end. Plus we had a couple magnets stolen from our door during the cruise, which was surprising because our stateroom was not in a high-traffic mid-ship hallway.

The bag with my FE, my gifts (oops) along with my girl's EpiPens, my Nikon D90, and the benadryl got left at home. I also forgot the Purex sheets for the washer and dryers when we got to AKL. I blame the massive amounts of steroids and pain killers I was on last week. I ended up having to buy a point and shoot camera on board so we would have pictures of our vacation!

I also ended up buying benadryl in the Health Center because my youngest had an allergic reaction on day 2. The steroids messed me up, I still feel the ship rocking.

Sorry to hear about all of that! I know tidefan did a "drop and run" in front of your door I was thinking the same thing, but didn't know if anyone was in there. Glad you made it on though, and hope you ended up having a great time. I wasn't on painkillers and every now and then I still feel like I'm on a rocking ship!

Well, we made it home late FRiday nite. Went to Universal Studios for 2 days after the cruise. The kids are NOT happy to go back to school tomorrow and I am NOT happy to have to go back to work I really enjoyed meeting the folks on here that I did, plus many more on the ship that weren't on this meet thread. So sad to be back in reality though

Is anyone booked on another cruise? We're booked on the Jun 2, 2012 Fantasy and then I booked a dummy date in Dec 2012....and once again, the family doesn't know!!! DH loved the cruise so much we're looking at maybe joining DVC. Are any of you members and would/would not recommend it?

GMARK - Thanks for organizing the magnet exchange! Sorry to hear some of yours were stolen....I agree that's odd b/c we were in a VERY high traffic area and none of ours got plucked, although I did hear alot of people walking by (in front of us) and saying how much they liked all of it, etc The kids thought it was so cool to open the door the 1st morning and find new magnets there (some may have been from the FE exchange too).

Thanks to all for the awesome FE gifts! This group had a lot of creative people in it....very impressed. I'm sad though that I didn't contact the families I had PMed with before about our kids meeting up with each other. It didn't dawn on me until the 3rd/4th day that duh, I could have called the cabin #s! Hopefully some of you will be on a later cruise with us too.

Well, back to getting ready for the grind tomorrow. I'm going to try and post pics and a trip report, but can't promise anything! Take care and see ya real soon

We are DVCers and LOVE it! We are thinking of booking 5 days on the Dream next year and waiting a year before we book the Fantasy. I feel like I could see a lot more of the Dream!

We just got home tonight after 3 days in the park and a 10 hour drive home in bumper to bumper traffic! I am exhausted, kids are exhausted! Pets are mad at me for being gone so long and that is just the tip of the iceberg!!!
