March 13, 2011 - DREAM

She wants to know the favorite character of the kids around her age going to the DISmeet on Sunday please let us know as she wants to make a small craft for the kids.;)

That is very sweet of your daughter to do that  FYI for anyone - my kids love all disney characters, but are not too fond of the villans!

I so need this cruise, to get a break from work and the everyday rat race for 4 full days, where noone can contact me :beach:

Our flight doesn't land until 645, so with getting luggage and driving to PC (limo) I don't know if our kids will make it to the pool when we get there (but my two youngest -- 10 and 8 yo DDs will try!) I will probably need to feed them well in the Austin airport before leaving so they aren't too hungry when we get there. Our embark bags will already be packed (swimsuits, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, my camera bag, coverups, meds) and I will have our outfits packed in 2 gallon ziplocs on the top of our suitcases along with our pjs so that night will be super easy and the suitcases will not be disturbed.

Can I ask which Limo service you are using. We are not coming in until Sunday and my DH asked me to look into a limo as a surprise for our kids.

I am so busy that it is all I can do to keep up with email let alone post on the board :surfweb: so I am sorry if this is a repeat but my travel agent sent me a link to pictures they posted on Facebook of the DREAM.

It looks amazing and I cannot wait! We are doing the B2B and I am celebrating one of those Birthdays at end i a zero that you would rather just skip! This amazing trip should help soften the blow.

What if we all meet up at Fish Lips(restaurant) for the pre cruise meet.
heard good reviews on that seafood restaurant. Just a suggestion:cool2:

Hi txsoccermom,

We are on the same cruise and also booked at the Country Inn & Suites for pre-cruise stay using the promo code. I am just wondering if you plan on parking a car there during the cruise. Do you have any concerns about if they will let us add that option?

Thanks!

Twinstars

Welcome twinstars. I don't know about parting at CI&S, but parking at the port is $15 per day unless you have a very large vehicle. We will have a rental and Son will drop us off at the ship and then turn the car in and take the shuttle from rental location to the terminal. We will do the same in reverse after the cruise.

Just booked CI&S as well. I am a little concerned, because I booked a rate that didn't say park and cruise rate. When I called back to make sure I could do the shuttle and keep our car there for free during cruise, she said yes. I hope I am getting the right answer. We are a family of five and the park and cruise special only came up with a party of four. I could get two rooms, but the rate I got was better. Just hope I am getting the right answers.

We are going with some friends from my sons baseball team. I just booked a table for fishlips at 6pm ( upstairs patio).

Can I ask which Limo service you are using. We are not coming in until Sunday and my DH asked me to look into a limo as a surprise for our kids.

We are using HappyLimo -- used them last time and was very "Happy" with the service. The driver was right at the bottom of the escalators in baggage and we only had to wait 10 minutes when we disembarked for the driver to show up.

I used the email linked to my phone for the reservations (all travel reservations) so I have the numbers handy.

Would love to go to FishLips on Sat nite for dinner, but I've already planned on meeting my aunt (lives in Melbourne), whom I haven't seen for 5 year, that night!

I am thinking of moving the DISMeet to 3:30p instead of 3p, to allow time for more folks to show up. Also, I heard the muster drill is at 4p, but you don't have to wear your lifejackets to it :worship: So I was thinking everyone could leave the DISMeet and go to the muster drill ?!?!

Just a thought.....will let you know more in Feb, after I talk to my TA who's on the Christening cruise, maiden voyage and the one immediately following the MV

We used Happy Limo during our last cruise as well, and the service was great. Our flight was like an hour late getting in and the guy actually waited for us. Needless to say we were very grateful and thanked him with a very generous tip.

Return was great too, we had to wait a few minutes, but the guy had left us a message on our cell phone to say he was on his way.

Yes, I think the option is to add $20 to park for free and catch the shuttle to port if you stay at CI&S. The reason for my question is because we used the friends and family code to book and is afraid that we would not be able to add that option (vs booking their park & cruise).

We are doing WDW before and after the cruise and it is actually cheaper to book for the entire duration than to break up the two legs....so we're stuck with a car!

I guess we could set up a quick meet if anyone is interested...Our DD will be in the pool until someone drags her away on Saturday. She keeps asking all kinds of questions about the kids she is going to meet...I keep telling her I don't know she will have to wait and see. She asked how to say hello in French...I told her she already knew that one (think about Beauty and the Beast) so she wandered around the house singing Bonjour.

My daughter's favorite is Stitch, must be her inner rebilious side.;)

My 10 & 8 year old and really starting feel the cruise fever! I bought their swimsuits -- 3 each, they live in our pool as soon as it is warm enough -- yesterday at Justice (using my 40% off total purchase coupon that they mailed me -- good until 1/24, if anyone wants it I can email it to you just PM me your address).

My 13yo gave me the evil eye until I informed her she gets an all day shopping trip President's Day weekend (Lord save me). 5'7.5" and a size 1 or 3, if we could all be so lucky.

Now I just have to get up the courage to go swimsuit shopping myself. Should be a lot easier this year, I am 50 pounds lighter than I was last year (and still losing) :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Debating Nassau excursions. What are you guys doing? Has anyone ever done the Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter?

Congrats on the weight loss! That's quite an achievement. :worship:

Thank you very much! Went from a tight 18 to a loose 12. Just bought some size 10s and with any luck (meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow, Lord save me) will be in a size 8 on the cruise.

We had a wake up call health wise in the family twice in the last 13 months and I decided to take control of what I can.

Haven't even been on this spring break and about to make reservations for spring break 2012 (shh! we aren't going to tell the kids they are even having a vacation next year ... we are so evil  )

My congratulations as well! Your health is the best gift you can give your family. I have been trying since July - although I have not had the great results you have. maybe we need deck walking group for the trip so we don't all slip.
