Hey everybody! Thanks for the welcomes I am going to get my dd that is in 5th grade on the kid board. She was slow to make friends last time so that would be great!! I think just knowing some names and stuff will be fun!!!

We're getting chatty! I was away from my computer for less than a day and had to catch up on all the posts.

Snow in Texas! Crazy! Just making y'all look even more forward to this cruise!
Our snow is almost gone. Seems our winter hit early and is petering out now. Still cold and often windy.

And cruise docs arriving already? OOooo.... that will be a terrific treat!

I will be at a Volleyball tournament all day tomorrow, so no Super Bowl. Hoping DH will at least DVR the halftime show for me. I love the Black Eyed Peas!!

Hey Lisa...my girls are 20 and 21, so they'll be really happy that there are some other college age kids to meet up with! Someone else has 22 year old twins, I believe, that will be on our cruise, also.

Yes, I do have 22 year old twins and a 24 and 25 year old. Right now it is snowing/freezing rain out, again. We're just counting the days!

Lisa I also teach middle school...7th and 8th READ 180 classes. My daughter is also 5th grade and will turn 11 on the cruise. She is Kaitlin...

I hope it's warmer than when we went in Jan. 2009...the water temp at CC was 76degrees. The outside was nice but there was no way the adults were going in that water...

I LOVE that I'm not the only one counting down like this! I just looked at the clock and told my husband "5 weeks from right now we will have already 'sailed away' and will heading to our first show on the ship!!!"

I am counting down too!! How nice to have a place to do it where you guys don't think I am nuts I got Mackenzie on the kid board. She was so excited! After 4 snow days I can tell you guys that I do not want to go to work on Monday!! I teach Texas History to 7th graders. They are going to be crazy after being out a week!!!!

We are so excited! This is our first cruise ever. DH, DD (9) DS (7) and self are traveling with my good friend and her family. I keep lurking on these disc boards and have received great tips and advice. I've already started packing! See you all on board!

Seriously, I must be crazy! I have packed all of my clothes, as well as DD4 and DS6 clothes! I'm glad I did...realized that my son has outgrown all of his shorts from last summer...gonna have to do some pre-cruise shopping!
And I need new shoes! I'm going to try to find a pair of fancy flip flops that I can wear to dinner every night, including formal night...
But other than the shoes, I may have everything I need!
OH! And I found the CUTEST little dress today for my sweet little girl for formal night! And found the perfect pair of fancy flip flops to match!

You guys! Can you believe how close we are getting!!!

Not crazy at all! I haven't actually packed everything yet but I've got all the clothes we're taking set aside ready to pack.
My DD 7 was trying on summer stuff this afternoon to make sure it all still fits.

We're trying to pack light - the goal is 1 large suitcase and garment bag for DH and me, and 1 suitcase each for the girls. We're driving to Florida so it all has to fit in the trunk of the car.

We got our passports today!!! I am so relieved. I was hoping to get all my fish extender gifts done this weekend, but went shopping and can't find what I'm looking for. Might have to go back to the drawing board and think of something else. And I still have to shop for some clothes. It's getting close!

Welcome to this group, and welcome to Disney cruising! We are an excited group, so you fit in perfectly! I've started packing, also, and my husband thinks I'm crazy!
These boards are a great source of info...I've also gotten my basic foundation of information from the Passporter's Guide to Disney Cruise Line. I read that cover to cover before our first cruise and it had me completely prepared. And these Dis boards have given me the detailed info to keep me going between cruises!
Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to ask away through this meet board. We have families on here that have cruised dozens of times!

We got our passports today!!! I am so relieved.

Whew! I would have been pretty nervous about passports with this trip coming up. So glad you have yours in plenty of time! DH and I have had ours for decades, got the kids' back in 2005. Have had to renew them already.

Thanks so much, Teri! I got the kids to try on all their clothes, so I know what fits. Just need to find a pair of "dress" sandals for boy. If I can great, if not, I'm not gonna sweat it.

Do people go nuts for the pirate night? I've got a pirate t-shirt for son, and a tshirt with skulls on it for daughter and am going to hit a party supply place for some eyepatches for the rest of us. Good? Also, what is a fish extender?

4 weeks, 6 days.... but whose counting? Oh yeah, we are!!!

Getting ready for a house full of people to watch the game! Cannot believe how NICE it is compared to this past week....maybe we really appreciate it! Ha! Love this weather!
