Not a fan of seafood, but dessert looks pretty good

:goodvibes

Glad you're enjoying some nice weather too. :thumbsup2 It's so nice to have the windows open!

Ooh, I want to see Pirates and Something Borrowed too. I just bought the book, so maybe I'll wait to see that one.

Look at the turtle! I wonder if that's the same one we saw swimming around one day. That thing was huge!

Can't wait to hear what you buy at Mouse Gear. popcorn::

Thanks!!! We ended up seeing Pirates last night even though I didn't want to go on opening day :rotfl:

Coral Reef....one of our favorites! Jasmine is a mahi mahi fanatic but I had the pork tenderloin on our last visit and it was so yummy! Isn't the chocolate wave delicious?

It was good but I guess I wasn't in the mood for that dessert that day :rolleyes1

We got lucky!

How did I miss this?? Back to read.

:confused3 Good thing for chapters!!!!!!!

I tried to click on the link for your Pirates PTR but it wouldn't load?? I'm not sure if I'm in that or not??

Mmm Coral Reef looks yummy! I always overlook it when I book ADR's, for some reason, since it's not in WS I forget about it! :rotfl: I bet Brandon would love Coral Reef, he loves seafood and the lobster ravioli looks like something he would order! If I wasn't having such ADR drama already, I'd try to fit it in, but...it's just going to have to wait til another trip!

It is yummy!!!!! We've eaten there a lot over the years and it helps when you have the DDP, you don't feel as guilty!

JUNE PACKING LIST!!!!

Happy Sunday Dis Friends!!!!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend :)

I guess I'll recap the past couple of days...

FRIDAY 5/20

Friday was a fun day! I got my little invitation for my kiddos graduation next week!

008-2.jpg

The plan for Friday was go out to eat and catch up on our Harry Potter movies..

We did go out to eat..Buffalo Wild Wings (I paid :) ) but then Dad wanted to see Pirates 4 so we went to the 9:15pm show.

I was shocked that he wanted to pay the night price on the first day it was out but we did..$33 for the 3 of us plus $21 for bucket of popcorn (free refill), 2 large drinks (free refills) and a bag of M & Ms. We don't see movies too often but when we do we have to get the snack goodies! Overall, I thought the movie was good..I still love the 1st one the best!!

SATURDAY 5/21

Yesterday was a busy day!!

Mom and I had a girls type of morning. She made breakfast and then we got ready and headed to Ikea. I wanted to find a stand for my Precious Moments which I did..

011-1.jpg

And we checked out furniture for when I move back to FL. It was decided that I'm going to get the set I have now and they will deliver for around $60 which is good IMO! I also got a new comforter, blanket, and sheets. The comforter is red and white checks (almost like a picnic table cloth kind of), white sheets, and white blanket!

When we got home, I noticed my countdown is getting so small!!

25 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

In the mail, my Mickey Monitor arrived for May:

Bro rode Star Tours 7x yesterday and LOVED IT!!!! He also began collecting those Vinaymation thingys...he was always into pin trading back in the day (IE a few years ago :rotfl:) so I guess this will be his new obsession since he bought 5 yesterday!

After we got home and settled, I laid down and took a little nap while watching HSM SING ALONG SATURDAY on DISNEY Channel.

Mom and I went out to eat around 7pm to O Charley's for the first time and loved it! The bread, salads, steak, and desserts were good! We also had frozen adult beverages since it was happy hour! We sat outside on the patio so it felt like a vacation!!!

We ended the night with watching Harry Potter + the Order of the Phoenix and will finish watching it tonight.

SUNDAY 5/22

Today, the day started out great! The high was 85, mom and I headed to the Water Park at Kings Island and it was pretty much dead when we arrived at 11:15am but got busy when we left at 2:30. We went in the wave pool and did one raft ride. Pizza was for lunch and we left right before a huge storm hit that has been haunting us all day! For dinner, we're going to make chicken and shrimp on the grill..yum!!!!

Well that was my weekend..

PACKING LISTS FOR JUNE!!!!

On Wednesday, I started to make my packing lists for June. I don't type them but write them in a standard notebook with Crayola markers. My first go-around with the closes was an Epic Fail as I thought we were leaving Wed not Thurs so I had to re-write it all :rolleyes1:laughing::rolleyes:

The lists are not glamorous with fancy fonts like on a computer but they work for me and I'm able to add without retyping and using printer ink! :thumbsup2

Please excuse spelling errors if there are any haha.

I also started my shopping list!!

005-3.jpg

Mom and I stopped at Walgreens last night and they had these at the check-out so we picked up two since it said you get 250 sprays out of it!

016-1.jpg

Well that ends our semi relaxing/busy/non-traveling weekend! I'm looking forward to this coming holiday weekend with no traveling and a 3 day weekend!!! Maybe we'll start some trip shopping!!!!

STAY TUNED!!!!!

Did you sneak into my apartment and steal my planning notebooks? That's exactly how I do my lists! Well, the content anyway...sometimes I type them.

So it sounds like the Orlando move is a go? That is so exciting! I'm actually excited for you...I still have days when I wish I still lived there.

Loving your trip report. We are going the same dates you are. June 17-24 and staying at Old Key West. I'm super excited !! Can't wait to read about it !!

i was reading your list and was going to ask you why you put dead on it

Then I realized it was DEOD, short for deodorant

my bad :rotfl2:

Sounds like a really fun weekend :)

Haha..Ya pretty much a 99% go! If my friend backs out, I won't be able to pull it off unless I know 100% sure that I have a teaching job..otherwise..I won't be able to pay rent alone with just working at a daycare or theme park.

Haha..now that you say that..I guess there is some questionable material on my packing list haha. I guess I should have censored it some poor guys! :rotfl:

I love your collection of Precious Moments! Yay for finding a stand to display them on.

I thought it was funny because I got a Mickey Monitor in the mail too even though I am no longer a passholder. :sad2: I'm wondering if they just send you a year's worth since it took me a while to get my first one.

haha, your brother has joined the vinylmation craze too!

We pretty much spent all weekend watching bits and pieces of the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family. :rolleyes1

I laughed when I was reading your lists because they are almost identical to ours:lmao: The only notable difference was neither Jasmine or I wear contacts so that's missing from our lists:rotfl2:

Last year I started typing our lists and then I put them in clear inserts into my binder. Prior to that I handwrote everything...packing lists, index cards, itinerary pages, things to buy, things to do before leaving the house....well you get the idea!

I love the shelf you got for your precious moments ......

lol, I love your list! I'm glad I'm not the only one with list like that & list planning on what I'm wearing each day. :)
I finally made a packing list on the computer & saved it.

The K5 graduation invite was too cute.
I have never been to a IKEA store, but I hear so much about it. The closest one is about a 1 1/2 hr away. I've got to go there one day to check it out!

Love the list, I wish I was close enough to my trip to start my packing list! :sad1: You're really bringing 22 pairs of undies? Because I do the same thing, bring tons of underwear...I don't know why, I just do! :rotfl:

So jealous of the nice weather you're getting! It's been raining nonstop here, it's so depressing! :scared1:

No, but I'm going to do a trip report and a dining report when we get back. This will be our first time on DDP, so we are very excited about that !!

Sounds good :thumbsup2

I might have to get into the tabs and covers..I'd really go crazy then!!!!

Thanks!! For this trip I have to plan since we're doing so many splits and suitcases will stay at Bro's apt while we're in Vero so things have to be planned out perfectly!

Haha..you can never have too many :rotfl:

Love how your countdown is getting smaller! Something about handwriting planning makes it more tangible! My daughters came home and wanted to get felt tip pens bc their teacher uses them. So, the one bought a four pack. I started to enjoy writing with them so much, I bought a 16 pack a Target...just an idea to replace your markers. They are awesome for writing plans!

I missed two updates!!! :scared1:

Actually I read the Coral Reef one but I just forgot to comment.

I love the atmosphere of Coral Reef! I wanna get back there and try the lobster ravioli! :cloud9:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Disney Precious Moments!!! My mom has a similarly sized shelf FILLED with them, except none are Disney!!! I will have to start getting her some do give her collection a Disney flair. I love the Peter Pan's Flight one! :goodvibes Too cute.

That is quite the extensive packing list! You are all prepared! :thumbsup2

Only 22 days!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for the markers idea!!! I'll have to look into those!!

Thanks!! yay!!!!!!!! I love my Disney PM collection. It didn't become an obsession till I was a CM and would get 50% off around the holidays so it made them VERY AFFORDABLE!!! The PP Flight one was over $100 but I paid 1/2 of it. PP is a classic favorite of mine and the ride holds a special place in my heart so I had to get it :) My "Daughter" one and "Get Well" ones are the only two non Disney ones I have.

LIFE UPDATE...

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!!

I was going to wait until the long weekend to to talk about the week from "you know where" but why start a holiday weekend on a sour note so I'll share the past few days with you now...

Monday

Monday started off to be a great day! The kids were all wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

That night we had a Staff Meeting which was started with signing off about info posted on FB and communicated with families etc. I also was acknowledged for my 2 year anniversary at the school and was given my bonus check for $200 (my anniversary is tomorrow technically).

Then the bomb was dropped...

"I REGRET TO INFORM YOU BUT WE WILL BE CLOSING THE SCHOOL."

Then the owner proceeds to read to us the letter that is being given to the parents and the last day of operation is FRIDAY JUNE 3RD....

NEXT WEEK :scared1::eek:

By the end of the meeting there was not a dry eye in the room. Basically it came as a total shock with the short notice. They have set up interviews with 3 local schools to try and place us in other jobs but the school I talked with today said it would depend on how many kids go and what teachers they will need.

I'm still getting my weeks' paid vacation and a $100 bonus for staying till June 3rd (where else would I go in a week?!!). So graduation is the 2nd..I'll cry and then do it all over again the next day....

At this point everything is up in the air. I'm still wanting FL and that is the goal but now I'll either be going the first of July or if I get a job, it will be the middle of July. Having vacation in June isn't helping either since I'm having to tell these other schools that.

If you could pray for me and keep me in your thoughts (as well as the other teachers/staff) that would be great. Thankfully, I have loving/supportive parents that would help me and I might have to file for unemployment for a while but praying it doesn't come to that!!!

I have not posted anything on FB regarding this since we had to sign off paperwork about it + the fact that I have my paid vacation/bonus on the line if I say something wrong!!!!

After the meeting, we were met with tornado sirens and had to sit in the bathroom at work for an hour..after being told we have no jobs after June 4th...that was not a picnic!!!

TUESDAY

Driving to work yesterday, I had a bad feeling like I needed to check the status of my teaching applciation so I went online at work before I started and it said....

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

It honestly was the best way to start my day!!! After that I really believe everything happens for a reason. I wasn't supposed to find out about the approval for another 2 weeks or so despite the fact that I was given horrible news the night before followed by tornado warnings, FINALLY some good news!!!!!

WEDNESDAY

The one school came to interview the teachers and I met with the director for about 50 mins so we'll see where it goes! I was under the impression (and was told from our owner) that they had open teacher spots already but this director said they didn't and it would depend on how many kids they get..go figure!!

I've already had parents ask me where I'll be, their child wants to go to the school I'm at which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy + I'm doing a good job!

On the way home, I got a call from the family that our health insurance is through and was told that my health insurance is going up to $187 in July..a $30 increase but now instead of splitting it 50/50 with my school, I'll be paying for it in full. She did assure me that if I move to FL and need to switch that they partner with a few companies in FL and could help which was good. For now I'll keep what I have and hopefully this is a sign that in July (when I was planning to move), I'll get a good job that had the same if not better insurance!!!!

2 more days left this week and I'm set for the paid holiday off on Monday!

As you can tell it has been a pretty rocky week so far with lack of sleep and headaches galore!!!

I'll be back this weekend with updates!!!

Please keep myself and friends/staff/teachers in your thoughts!

THANKS :)
