March 11, 2007 4 Night Wonder

Ok question for Debra.....

The kids want to enjoy as many of the kids activities in the evening as possible. We are on main dining now. I think I remember that after 9 is movie time or quiet time right?

What is the best time to request to dine 5:30, 5:45, 6:00 in order for the kids not to miss anything in the kids club? What time do they take the kids to eat? That is when we want to request to be eating as well.

Anybody check the weather in the Bahamas yet?

I just looked online for Palo and it is sold out....I know a little late. I will have to go when we board. Anybody doing any spa treatments?

Just called and the movies have been updated as of 3/1. Now showing:

Bridge to Tarabithia
Cars
Deja Vu
Invisible
Pirates 2
Primevil
The Guardian
The Prestige
Santa Claus 3
Wild Hogs

I just look at some recent 4 night navigators (from the site we are not allowed to post about) and it shows them taking the kids to dinner around 5:00 or 5:30 (depending on the age group).

My kids never eat with the kids (they don't like it, they prefer to eat with us). We also have early dining but I didn't request a seating time. I'm not sure which would be better. My guess would be that 6:00 would be better (gives more time to get ready and not as rushed), but it really doesn't matter to me.

We went to Palo once, but we took the kids to dinner (we just got a salad and drink and explained we were eating at Palo later) and let the kids eat in the dining room (you won't want to miss the show in Animator's Palate), and then we went to Palo later while they were in the club.

I have heard it is pretty easy to get into Palo the first night of the cruise, and frankly, that would be the show that I would pick to miss. I wouldn't want to miss any of the "Disney" shows (the first night is the comic according to the recent navigators). So that may be something to consider.

I have started packing and I am attaching the above mentioned to the outside of all my luggage, backpack, carry-on, etc. with lime green ribbon.

I am curious to see if anyone in the Houston airport and how many in the Orlando airport can spot a fellow DISser!

We leave in FIVE days...can't wait to pilage and plunder something. pirate:

Thanks Debra! We have never eaten at Palo as our kids too really enjoy dinner with us. We are thinking of requesting 5:30 so all they would miss would be the dinner at the club. I think I remember some activities starting at around 6:30 last cruise and the kids rushing to eat to get there.....can you pm me with the site you found the navigators on if you have time?

Thanks for the Naussau link as well!

I just sent you an email with the link. I think it is blocked here on the DIS boards, so I am not sure it would work in a PM. Let me know if you don't get it, or it doesn't work.

It really helps to look at the recent navigators to plan out your days. But things can change. I noticed that the DVC meeting is now at 4:00 pm on the first day and before it was in the morning. That's a bummer because that is prime pool time, but we will still try to go (free stuff! I have gotten a DVC mesh bag, DVC photo album, hats, pins, luggage tags, and DVC laynards. So if you are a DVC member, you may want to try to go).

Hey everyone! Been really busy at work trying to tie up loose ends and at home we are installing hard wood upstairs (kids have asthma). I've been reading everyone's posts. I'm getting so excited! I just checked the weather for Nassau and it looks like it will be about 80 for Nassau and CC. Anyone know how to check water temps? I really need to start packing. I can't believe it's almost time to go!!!!

Hi everyone this Amy's DH(Gant)

*Angie- I found a website that stated the average water temperature range for Nassau was 73-77F.

Hope it is nearer the high end of that range but anything in the 70's can't be that bad.

Can't wait...getting excited! Only three more days of work!

Sunny37 asked: Is everyone packed and ready to go????

No way! I'm definitely a last minute packer...

Tonight we will do the dreaded "try on" summer clothers session with the DS and then he will be close to ready... Probably a shopping trip on Friday evening to get any last minute items but won't be "fully packed" until Saturday night!

I acutally just got back from a business trip to New Orleans and have to UNPACK from that first so I can pack for this... Just not real organized I guess!

I did buy a lime green cowboy hat in New Orleans so you will all know me when you see me!!

It is snowing again today so we are ready to head south...

Lime Green Cowboy Hat?! Can't wait to see that!

I've done the trying on part. I think we have enough clothes, just need to pack them. Getting my box ready to send, finding pirate clothes, sun tan lotion, etc. Having panic attacks:crazy2: -just ready to go already!

You're having snow and today our high is 72!:confused3 Getting me ready for the warm ocean breezes!!:cool1:

Not packed yet but we leave on Friday so I better get a move on! I did finally receive my cruise docs yesterday so I feel better about that! Thanks everyone for all your help on this board. I'm so excited and can't believe it is only 5 days away!!

I'm almost done packing for the girls and I but DH is another story. He too is a last minute packer.

I am so ready for this vacation. I have been wearing my Disney crocs to work all week. Tomorrow is my last day and I can't wait for the clock to strike 8PM. Hope to see you all soon, especially Janelle in the Lime Green Cowboy hat. :thumbsup2

We're on the plane in about 5 hours. Gant and I told the girls about the trip last night...they were quite surprised! We didn't tell them that the "marlowers" are going on the cruise, also. They will be shocked that we had another big surprise for them...especially after the first surprise.

Can't wait to meet everyone!
