HI!! I'm sorry I missed your post until now--I guess I wasn't paying attention. More boys!! Yeah!! My DS will be happy.

Does that upgrade mean you paid for a category 12, but got upgraded to a category 3 at the same price?? If so....that's AWESOME!! We're on Deck 5 right by the kids clubs!

Should I be concerned it we don't have our cruise DOCS yet????

We are a cat 9 now... so we have a large port hole and the side we are on has great views of Castaway Cay when we pull in so we are pretty excited. We got upgraded to a 9 last year so my DS has been bugging me if we were going to get upgraded again this year... I just kept saying, wait and see and there is no guarantee and were not in our room much anyway so it really doesn't matter, but I was pretty excited when I saw we were upgraded again...

Sounds like there will be a bunch of boys 8-12 or so... that is fun... My DS is just starting to realize that girls can be fun to play with too, but don't tell him I said that, he will deny it!!!

Hey Kim! I saw Carla today and she didn't know who you were but I'll keep my ears open for any Faust's around here. She did mention there are some in the White Bear Lake area...

I'll make sure to look you up! I will be at the Promanade Deck at 3:00 unless something goes haywire, I should have plenty of time to get there... our flight lands in Orlando at 11:00am...

Is anyone else going on either the Thriller Power boat ride in Nassau or the Waverunners at CC? Or has anyone done either of these and have any comments/tips??

Also, just a thought...This trip is just my and my DS... my guy isn't a big vacationer so I normally go on vacation with friends, family or with my DS...
So...I know from last time that when my DS goes to the Oceaneer Lab in the evening, I enjoy a bit of time on my own but that gets old after awhile so let me know if anyone is interested in having a cocktail (or 2 or 3) or doing some dancing or other silliness some night... I'll take you up on it!!

Hi Debra...Allie has been busy with track after school every night and then homework. She is spending more time instant messaging with friends then VMK the past few weeks.

Tarabithia was a really good movie. I did not read the book like my kids had so I thought it was really sad but they were ready for it. I will take the other 3 to the movie on the ship then as it will be more fun to see it for the first time there.

All...We will try and make the 3:00 meet on the first day. We will be at the pool right after boarding hopefully right at noon so I will do my best to drag my kids out of the pool. If I am not successful that is where we will be I am sure Allie will find Michelle pretty quickly. I am hoping Brad (out 15 year old) finds a group too. Ryan and Justin have each other but whether or not Brad finds a group of kids can make or break his cruise. On the Royal Caribbean Cruise last March he just couldn't find a group that was like him...he was a bit intimidated by the party atmosphere (and he is a 160 pound varsity water polo player)...but gentle at heart and did not want to get into trouble. He is much more comfortable with the Disney crowd! We are going to do another 7 night Royal Caribbean in July as Disney is in Europe and the 7 nights are too expensive if they were here!

My husband just told me that at work they got a message that Daylight Savings time is moved back and changed on March 11th! Did you guys know that? I was surprised. I guess that means we will get on board earlier (12:00 on that day, but will feel like 11:00).

Will Allie be at the Goofy Pool? That is where my kids usually head (they haven't decided about whether to swim first or eat first). The Mickey pool has too many "little" kids for them (but they usually go down the slide a couple of times each trip).

We can try to have Michelle meet Allie at the pool. BTW, Michelle just got IM this week (we finally gave in) and she is so into it now too. If you send me Allie's IM name, I could have Michelle try to chat with her that way (or I can find out Michelle's and send it to you, I don't know it right now). It is sort of taking over from VMK for her too now (her dad was reluctant to set it up, and now that he has given in she is in heaven talking to everyone from school).

I guess IM has replaced the phone that we used to use as teens? She gets home at night and has to "chat" with her friends...I guess it is teaching her to keyboard

The boys don't get into it as much although my high schooler is now allowed a myspace page and that is a whole 'nother story. I am not ready for them to grow up!

Our last Disney cruise was in 11/05 so she was 11 and we (John and I) sat near the Mickey Pool with our books...LOVE to read...and she and the boys loved the slide. Allie would go between the hot tubs with me and Grandma and both pools.

I am sure once she and Michelle get on IM they will figure a good place to meet up....someplace with no little ones and no annoying brothers!

Do any of the other kids want to IM? OR any older kids have a myspace page?

Sandy, I can understand the teenager thing. My 16-year old daughter is not a party person either. She'd rather hang out with a good book. I'm hoping there will be some teens she can relate to. I think she might be interested in talking to another teen going on the cruise. She has myspace and I can send you a private message with hers in it.

Yes it will and we are very excited! I have been reading so many posts and trip reports that I feel I will be an expert by the time I actually get on the boat.

Yes, that is how it will happen. It usually isn't this early in the year, so I was surprised, but it will be nice to get on the ship sooner.

Because here someone posted the navigators from the 01/21/2007 4-night-cruise and they stayed at CC twice! I thought those double CC are 2008 or later this year !?!

My guess would be no, we will have a day at sea. Here is a trip report from earlier this month for a 4 night, and they had a day at sea:

The nice thing about the 4 night is if they can't dock at CC on the first day, they try again on the second.

Hi all! Just a question about the time change. Do you think we will still be able to board at the usual time or do you think it will be an hour later as the ship still docks at the same time and it will take the same amount of time to debark, clear customs etc?

Also, Debra...since you have boarded so many times...what time do you normally get on the ship? I think I remember getting on about noon or 12:30.

I had read some posts that said the same thing but it seemed that they only do that if they experience bad weather on the first day at CC. Not quite sure how it all works but looking forward to finding out! 13 more days

Daylight saving time = Time changes from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.
