Our cruise documents came today by UPS, so if yours haven't come, but watching for the brown truck! My DH was outside clearing the driveway of a foot of snow that fell when he pulled up. It was nice to think that in a month we will be in the sunshine!

They are the documents you have to turn in at the terminal. There is a form for the Gov. of the Bahamas, luggage tags that are used on your suitcases at the terminal for when you unload and hand your luggage over to the DCL people, and "your travel booklet" which includes transfer info, itinerary, important messages, gratuity info, payment authorization form, embarkation-departure form, cruise contract, and some other information. They also include a checklist for things to do to prepare for the cruise.

Thanks for the info, I haven't received any cruise documents yet but have received some other info from my travel agent. I will keep looking in the mail for them! I'm getting excited. Hopefully we will have nice sunny warm weather!!

Sounds like your DS and mine will be hanging out then! Appears they have a lot in common...Looking forward to it.

Hi to everyone else too! Looking forward to meeting all of you and my 10 yo DS is looking forward to meeting the other kids too, see you all in the Promanade Louge, it will be so fun to have people we "know", very different from last year, I'm glad I decided to join in this thread!!

We just went onto Disney's website and looked up our reservation and saw that we have our room assignment, we will be on 2nd Deck...Is anyone else on 2nd Deck???
We got a 3 category upgrade, Yay!!! This happened last year too so was thinking there would be no way it would happen again. They must feel sorry for those of us who book a Category 12!!

Can't wait!!!

Congrats on your upgrade! We are also on the second deck. Is it common for DCL to upgrade those who book Cat. 12?

Hello everyone! I am getting so excited for the cruise. (Lady Rob) we live in Minnesota and it has been so darn cold here the last few weeks - after a mild December and early January, we are paying for it now with below average temps. I am ready for some warm sun! I have started hitting the tanning bed the last week to get a base - and the warmth feels heavenly.

We are on level 2 also, room 2632... in a noisy section from what I understand, but hopefully it won't be too bothersome. I don't plan on spending much time in our room anyway! This is a Make a Wish trip for my daughter (who had a liver transplant last year and is doing great!) ... I think all DCL's wish trip families seem to have that stateroom.

We still have not received our travel documents. I am curious how many have?

LadyRob, thanks for the list, that is very helpful, I can't wait to meet you all! Me and my DS are from Minnesota, if you would like to add that to the list. I just showed my son your list and he thought it was very cool that we would meet some other kids his age this year.

Kimf: Hey glay to see there is someone else from Minnesota! We are both on Deck 2 also! What part of MN are you from and are you taking the Northwest flight out the day of the cruise at 7:05 am???

We havn't received our documents yet, I would guess anyday now!!

I'm not sure how common it is to get upgraded from a Cat 12 but we are 2 for 2 right now! Yippee!!

I'm right there with you on deck 2! We booked the Cat 12 Guarantee and I checked the other day and we were upgraded to a Cat 9. This is our first Disney Cruise, so I am SO excited!!

Well, my kids are 15 and 18--but they won't be with us. It's just DH and me because they are (get ready for this) "tired of Disney" They went with us last spring break on a Carnival 4-day cruise and had a great time, but they feel they are too old for a Disney cruise. I know, I know, what is wrong with them!?!

Is it only category 12 rooms that can get upgraded? We are lowly cat 11..no porthole, no verandah...not complaining, just wondering!!!!

Is anyone else going to the parks before the cruise?

Did you look up your reservation on the Disney web site? They should have your room number listed there by now for this cruise. Then you can go to the maps of each deck and see if you were upgraded any categories or not... I'm not sure who or why anyone gets upgraded. I saw a thread about that last year where people who had done 5 cruises were just now not getting upgraded for the first time... I would guess is has to do with how many rooms are open and stuff like that or could just be the way the pixie dust lands... who knows???

We are from the Twin Cities (Oakdale to be exact). We are flying out the night before on Sun Country. Where exactly are you from? I am cold right now, so can't wait!

This is our 8th cruise and we have never gotten an upgrade. We were picked for 'Family of the Week" once on the Magic, but no upgrade them either (we were in a Cat. 11).
