Is your DD on Facebook? Would she be interested in e-mail or facebook chatting with a fellow cruiser? Although my daughter will just be turning 16 on the cruise, she is a very down to earth teen. She won't be so concerned about age as it will just be fun for her to have somebody to look out for on our cruise and who shares a love of Disney stuff.

PM me if you think it would be something your daughter would like- we can also wait until we get closer- like in Jan/early Feb.

I'll be on this cruise with my best friend. She's never been on a cruise before; I did the Dream in early 2011 with my whole family (kids and grandkids!). I am very excited and hope to pay it off this weekend.

That is a great idea to get kids connected before the cruise. My DD will be 12 she is on Facetime a lot on her IPad.

It now feels like the cruise will be here in no time. We booked our flights, hotel and car rental.

Now I'm working on a magnet for our door.

I've noticed I'm not on the FE list. Are we still doing this? Is there someplace I can search for rules of play? Will we have time to do this activity with only 4 nights onboard?

Hope everyone is getting into the Christmas cheer. We went and cut down our tree on the weekend which is always fun. The weather here (Ontario, Canada) has been so nice. Not very cold, I'm sure that will change tho. brrr!!!

Hi. should be alot of Canadians aboard being its March break for many school boards. On our last trip to Nassau we jumped on a local bus ( Jitney I believe) and headed towards Cable Beach, went to an old fort, found a public beach, did not swim just took a look. Took another bus back downtown. This time we will walk towards The Queens Staircase. Some travel books have walking tours and I found some online. Will do some shopping and head back to the Dream and hit the pools before supper!

We did a walkabout the last time we were there too, I'm thinking of skipping it all together and enjoying the ship. My dd (11) just asked us if she could parasail when we are at Castaway Cay. My dh will do it with her but I don't think I'll be able to watch!!! Anyone ever done this? Will have to book that when it opens up.

Sorry I've been tardy on my updating of the FE list. I have added you now. There are tons of threads about it with lots of pics of FE's and FE gifts. Basically you bring items to deliver to everyones stateroom. These can be pencils, stickers, notepads, specific items to your province, state, country, candy etc. You deliver them when it is convienent to you. We don't have a big list so I shouldn't think it will take alot of time. It is so much fun to leave gifts for others and it is so much fun to return to your stateroom and have "mail". HTH

Oh that is so cool!! We were there in April and the water was freezing. Kids went in anyway. It took me a very long time but I went in just to say I did lol. Dd loves the clubs, I'm sure they will meet up at some point. I'll have to let her know a girl her age is doing it as well. She is super excited about it.

Thanks for adding me. I checked out the hanging FE nets and they sell them, but I think I may craft a little something. My SIL and BIL and 2DN's (12 and 14) will be joining us as well. I'm going to see if they'd like to join us so I can craft an FE for them as well. It sounds like fun

Hi Lisa; I thought your post was me talking... Sounds just like me I figured out how and printed a pair of mickey ears - um minnie ears hee hee and browsed the dollar store on my lunch yesterday looking for inspiration - $32 later I'm inspired

Just paid the cruise off today! Feal lucky as this is the first time in 5 cruises that the Canadian dollar has been above par with the US dollar when we make our final payment! Will be flying out of Toronto on Sat Mar 9 and spending the first night in Cocoa Beach.

This will be our 3rd March break cruise, the ship will be full but it will still be fun! I find the parks are very busy this week but DCL seems able to handle a full ship. Airfare can get quite expensive if you have not booked yet.

I was reading reviews from Cruise Critic last night and one review posted 11/12 so just last month said that no matter what they tell you that the cruise is for grown ups too. The majority of the ship is geared to Children/teens so if you would prefer less children, this may not be the cruise for you? She said it was aprox. 3,000 children on the ship that holds 4,000 passengers? The reviewer also said, they went while kids were in school, yet the ship still had throngs of children crammed on deck While it was just one review, I got the impression the ship was for older children, and still young at heart adults, tweens and teens. Fortunately, I fall in the young at heart and teen area for my family so knowing there will be many many kids on the ship helps to forwarn me to be patient, relax, go with the flow.... HTH?

If it were me going on a cruise with just my adult friends, I might be prone to pick a time less busy with kids at school. My SIL is from states and says spring break is generally in February... Canadians in March. If there is no fee to switch, I might consider swapping to the 3rd or 4th week of March when us Canadians have the kids back in school eh?

Good morning fellow future cruise friends I was wondering, our DNephew will be celebrating his birthday while we are on the cruise. I was thinking of secretly decorating his door. At our dollar store in Ontario, we have these jelly clings that say 'Happy Birthday'. Do you think those will be fine for the magnetic door. Does anyone know if the window clings work on the door as well or is it just magnets?

I am also not a big swimming fan, but I do like to rest on a lounge chair and feel the fresh ocean air Does Disney have a policy about chair saving? I find it very upsetting to head out on deck to find almost every chair empty but with people's towels that you never see people sitting at? Now that there will be 4 adults and 3 kids together I think we may have a problem finding seats together?

I think DCL limits the number of kids onboard so they do not over crowd the kids clubs. The adult pool never seems to be very busy, several times we had the pool all to ourselves. Chair saving is still a problem at the pools especially on sea days. We always hit the pool deck and Aquaduck as soon as we can after boarding as this can be the least crowded time during the whole cruise.
