March 09 trip? What about ADRs?

We are planning our trip March 14 – 21, 2009. We can only make ADR for Chef Mickey’s & Cinderella’s Royal table. The very kind lady told me that we might be able to make the rest of our reservations around the first week of November, check back mid-October. Anyone else have this problem? It may have been discussed here already, sorry if I missed it. It is a bit frustrating not knowing the exact date to make our ADRs.

was initially set to return to some level of normalcy on 10/24, but that date was announced with the changes a few months ago. The initial announcement had the 180 day rule in effect only through 1/24. Earlier this month they started allowing ADRs through 2/22. It was not widely announced and many on the restaurant board posted that they were able to get all of their ADRs without problem even a week or two after the opening. Based on that they may add some more days soon.

I would keep an eye on the restaurant board. People are good about posting changes they encounter. If you really want to be proactive, call each week to test the system. It doesn't have to be in the prime calling time when waits can be long.

As Hootch mentioned, Disney is upgrading their dining system, so they are not taking ADR's beyond 2/22. At the end of October, ADR's will return to their regular 180 day pattern; make sure to call ASAP when the system is available again and you'll be fine!
