If you are already in the area I think it is worth a stop by. They are pretty proud there of being Walt's hometown. We went up there for Walt's 100th birthday when they threw a big festival to celebrate so they had lots of special events at that time. I honestly don't know how much is there on a regular basis since we just went for the festival.
What is it near? I'm hoping that maybe when we go visit DH's home state/towns that we'll get to pull through. I know we'd be making several stops in KS and a couple in MO, but I have no idea of the geography in either of those states.
We stopped on a road trip a few years ago and it was fun though it was memorial day so everything was closed but we did see the elementary school named for him and saw his desk through the window etc
I wouldnt say its an all day thing but for a few hours it was fun.
My MIL is from there. I havent been there, but from the sounds of things its pretty small. Population about 2500. Here is a link to their chamber of com. site. http://www.marceline.com/calendar.htm
