Marble Cake

For those of you who have had the marble cake, can you tell me how chocolaty it is? I am a chocoholic and was also wondering about the chocolate cake. If anybody can give some input, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I had chocolate cake with the strawberry mousse. I consider myself somewhat of a chocolate connoisseur since I do a good bit of testing out different chocolates! My cake was awesome!! I wouldn't have changed a thing! Everyone at the wedding raved about it!

Thanks, I was really leaning towards the chocolate, but didn't want to be disappointed with it. That's probably what I'll use.

We had the marble cake with chocolate frosting. We were going to do chocolate on chocolate but thought that some guests might not be as chocolate-happy as we are! The cake was very moist and delicious and had just enough chocolate to keep me happy but not overwhelm anyone!

We had the marble cake with raspberry filling and it was gorgeous! I wouldn't say it was more chocolate than vanilla but it was very tastey!

We had a three layer cake with marble cake with white chocolate mousse and fresh strawberries in the middle layer and chocolate with raspberry mousse in the bottom and top layers. It was awesome! The chocolate is not extremely rich, but very good. We are still hearing about how good our cake was!

I have to say after having my cake testing a couple of weeks ago where I was able to try the chocolate and marble at the same time I would definitely go with the chocolate. I myself am also a chocoholic and the chocolate would definitely be my first choice.

Oh thanks Vanessa! It's great to hear some input from someone having tried both and done so recently. I think that was the final push and has convinced me to do the chocolate cake.

We had the marble cake with the white chocolate mousse and it was absolutely delicious -- very moist and yummy!! However I have to agree that it wasn't extremely chocolatey!!

That was a pretty good combination, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed. The white chocolate mousse was much better than the standard chocolate mousse.

My cakes = wedding Almond w/ Baileys mousse, marble with choc mousse, choc w/ choc mousse (my fav was the choc w/ choc) I am a choc nut too but we just did the top layer with the double does as I thought the guests may not like it all. Then for my tea I had marble w/ baileys and choc w/ white choc mousse - Yummy as well!
