I seem to recall reading some race reports of a recent rain deluge - Animal Kingdom? It was supposed to be some kind of "hunt"? and race??? and it was called off in the middle because of the awful rain - but it wasnt communicated well - -
Rain, Lightening, it must be a concern - guess we wont have to worry about the heat - like they did in Oct a few years back at the Chicago Marathon!!
I won't start to take the forecast seriously for at least another week. It will probably change seven times anyway. I have enough stress just thinking about the 26.2 that awaits.![]()
As a friend of mine said she can't run as much this week so she is going to talk about it all day long! So obssesing about the weather and are clothing is all we have!![]()
(And fellow Goofsters, that means a second pair of running shoes too... just in case it decides to drizzle on Saturday.)

Thanks so much for the weather updates! I was wondering about how warm it would be at the finish too. I was planning on finishing in a tank top and my shorts and having a throw away long sleeve tshirt on, but I may add another short sleeve t under the long sleeve for another layer. I think I can probably start in that temp in a long sleeve t and shorts and some throw away gloves. I might be cold the first mile but I think I'll warm up pretty quick. What do you all pack for rain? A garbage bag?
The cool temps look good but I am a Florida girl and am afraid it might be too cold for me. I need advice on what I can do to keep wind/cold out of my ears.
