We started our final full day at the parks with a quick and hot breakfast at the Old Port Royale Food Court at CBR. I ordered a child's breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, a biscuit and bacon. For a quick hot breakfast it was perfect, nothing to go out of the way for either

We had an early PS for dinner so lunch was a bit of snacking at the MK. We stopped at Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland -where I ordered a tropical fruit smoothie. A nice refreshing drink but pretty unremarkable. I stopped at the Confectionary Shop on Main Street on my way out of the park and had a Mickey head turtle that was sweet and gooey and yummy.

Dinner was FDP at Mama Melrose's -- we had 4:30 PS and were blessed with an excellent server. This was hands down my favorite meal of our trip. We had a table of 8 so we able to get 2 salads and 2 flatbreads. Our dinner began with a plate of breadsticks and pesto - served with our salads: Field Greens - balsamic vinaigrette and gorgonzola cheese and Caesar Salad - Romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and croutons - both were excellent.

Our choosen flatbreads were Grilled Chicken with sun-dried tomato pesto, pancetta, asiago cheese and fresh chives and Grilled Pepperoni - with bell peppers and sweet onions. I only had the grilled chicken and it too was very tasty. I heard the pepperoni was delish as well.

For my entree I chose Charred Sirloin Steak over roasted red pepper polenta, grilled asparagus, with gorgonzola butter and red wine reduction. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Dessert was shared three ways, there was just too many yummies to choose from. Between three of us we tried the signature Tiramisu - layers of ladyfingers soaked in coffee and whipped mascarpone cheese; Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake filled with chocolate ganache over raspberry sauce, and a pistachio florentine and the favorite between the three of us was the Honey Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake with a blood orange sauce and dollop cream

The chocolate truffle cake sounds to die for! Guess I'll have to go get some next time I'm there! :flower1:

Thanks for the review. Your description of the desserts at Mama Melrose has my mouth watering!

Thanks for sharing. You don't hear much about Mama Melrose. I'll have to add it to our list.

It's good to know that you can pick different desserts. I thought you had to get the tirimasu (which I like anyway! LOL!) with the Fantasmic package.
