Marathon Weekend 2027

SAFD: In trying to make my picks, I should have never read all your responses first. I want to list about 10 all tied for first in Disney Animated, but I will follow the rules and these are the ones that mean the most to me.

Disney Animated:
1. Encanto
2. The Jungle Book
3. Tangled

Disney Pixar:
1. Coco
2. Up
3. Inside Out

In doing some googling I've realized that the charity links on runDisney's website are all outdated. I'm annoyed at myself for not thinking to google sooner, since a lot of the charities with lower donation amounts for Dopey are completely full. My nerves for this registration are at an all time high, since I'll be in Jamaica with questionable wifi and relying on my husband at home to register myself for Dopey and my son for the 5k.

SAFD:

Gads, so many choices to pick only 3...

Disney Animation:
1. Lion King (and saw cels being drawn for it at HS/MGM tour)
2. Mermaid
3. Brave

Pixar:
1. Incredibles (naturally)
2. Monsters Inc
3. TS2, due to emperor Zurg and the SW references

I hate to make you regret your life choices here, but Brave is actually Pixar. ::ducks::

Oops. And for me, that question goes back to features such as Bednobs and Broomsticks, and the Fantasia release in 1969 when Mom took a young me to see it in an old downtown theater with a "night sky" ceiling complete with stars. I updated my choice to Alladin for the music, but it's hard to beat the music and animation of Fantasia, especially how (not knowing otherwise) one might think the animation came first, then the music.

There are so many ways to answer this question.

I went with what I consider the "best" but freely admit that best doesn't mean my favorites that I watch over and over again.

But next weekend is going to be brutal...

The same for me for animated. For Pixar I think they are at least my sentimental favorites ( though to be honest Toy Story is because it was the first time a CGI film could rival hand drawn animation - I still leaned towards hand drawn for years).

Next week won’t be as tough for me given the rules. I think I’m pretty settled in unless someone challenges one of my live action choices.

This is going to be a game time decision- it’s on my short list!

I basically did the opposite and went with emotional attachment/ life impact… and it was still hard. I’m dreading next week lol!
