I guess this is what happens when runners advise each other to use multiple browsers and windows. Even a virtual queue can be overwhelmed. We're our own inadvertent denial of service attack.
For what it's worth, I never came close to missing registration for a race on Active, but it's been touch and go with registration errors on the Disney system.
Somehow they keep failing to anticipate demand. In this age of virtualized servers, they absolutely should have doubled or tripled their capacity for today.
Yeah, and it's really not hard to do. As an IT person myself, I always wonder if Disney IT is asking leadership for money to do that, and getting turned down.
I feel like I should feel reassured right now at least that noone else can get through, but I can't help but imagine that other people are getting in and registering while im sitting here being thanked for being patient.
If you have 10 windows open maybe you cut Disney IT some slack, they can’t pay for or maintain server capacity that can handle that event half a dozen times a year. It’s not practical. Plenty to complain about with Disney IT but people having 10 windows open compiling who have never been locked out of registration because they log on during the first minutes is pretty petty. You’re the problem.

It could be an issue of a poorly coded application. If it isn't designed to be easily scalable then it wouldn't be able to take advantage of on demand servers.
