Marathon Weekend 2017!

Funny thing I was looking at my Dooney this morning. Maybe it's my purse, maybe I'm missing it but I don't see Donald on mine

He's on there! I finally decided to purchase one on Friday evening and when I told the CM I wanted one, she asked if I wanted THAT one, as many people want to look at all of them for the best pattern. I had never given it any thought. So I made a point to get one with him on the front, since I was only running the half.

But my shirt is long sleeve and I got something warm as a second layer.

Anyway, good thing is, I trained in the cold, so I hope it is just going to feel familiar.

Everything is ready, Tobi is carboloaded, see the nice ribbon on my bib, so heading to bed now, see you tomorrow, good luck everybody.

I'm hoping for the same familiar feeling!

CBR has cheap gloves and beanies in their gift shop. We bought a pair of gloves for $7.

Was back at the gift shop an hour ago and all the cheap gloves are gone and only two cheap beanies left! Good luck everyone tomorrow! Really wish we weren't in the last corral now just sitting/standing and waiting in the cold, but it is what it is. Might be pushing it with getting on the bus as late as possible tomorrow.

Someone was asking about deferring to a challenge and not a half.... I overheard from a staffer today while waiting for a refund (since this was my only non-challenge race...probably ever) and confirmed by another runner I know personally that it can only be a half to a half deferral. I figured as much since applying a partial credit through Active sounds like a nightmare.

How much sleep did everyone get?I rarely get much sleep before these races,for this one I actually fell asleep pretty early like at 8-9pm but I guess the excitement and cold made me get up around 1am,its some sleep,I'll take it.I ate something and have been prepping since,almost ready to brave the elements and head out.See you in corral G,I'll be wearing a red shirt over a dark blue long sleeve shirt and a red buff on my neck,say hi if you were me!!

Woke up to the sound of cheering, realized I can see the marathoners from my balcony at the poly. Didn't consider traffic issues when I booked my 10:30 flight Congrats everyone! My new goal is Glass Slipper in 2018 and Dopey in 2020! My SO said to me last night at Cali Grill that he "loves Disney", he wants to do a 5k with me, and that next time we should stay for 2 weeks
