Two words for you, the planner of this big family trip: Dawa. Bar. You will deserve it...thank me later (I recommend the Lost on Safari)One plan officially made, looks like at least part of our group will be going to AK on 12/30 and having lunch at Tusker House. Will essentially be our first time at both the park (I went sometime around 2000 and remember almost nothing about it) and the restaurant, hopefully it will be a fun day.
Hi, everyone! Haven't been on the boards much in the last few weeks, but wanted to share some exciting news: I PR'ed my half marathon this past weekend! I managed to knock 6 minutes off my last half marathon PR from a year ago. I'm still a back-of-the-pack runner, but breaking 3 hours for my half marathon time was a big accomplishment for me. Honestly, the best part is knowing I have an updated proof of time to submit for the Goofy Challenge!![]()
oops!!I probably also recommended this, but if I did, well, I'm gonna repeat myself again - take a day or two and go around to look at the resort decorations at the deluxe resorts. That's what we did on New Year's Eve/New Year's Day, and it was fun and relaxing.

I'll allow it.Unfortunately, I don't drink. It's a character flaw, I know. Fortunately, Disney offers many other opportunities to "treat yo self" in which I am sure to indulge.![]()
Random question, but is it considered sacrilegious around these parts to propose adding, as an alternative to the Castaway Cay Challenge, a new race to the Dopey Challenge - the Harry Mouse 10 miler - where after spending four days running around Disney you then run from Disney Springs down Palm Pkwy/Turkey Lake Road to Universal and spend the next couple of days there? Or has that been discussed before?

I am still hoping for the star wars fireworks dessert party to be extended.
If you haven't seen this yet, it looks like Race Retreat now includes one hour early access to the Expo from 10-11 on Wednesday.
(I don't think I had seen this mentioned here yet.)
That's what I'm guessing, since they haven't posted Expo times yet.So they're pushing back the start of the Expo for everyone else? That blows.

Southwest released their flights through early March today. Booked my flight in on the 4th and out on the 9th. Now if I could just get the calendar to turn over a little faster so it would get here...
Flights on the 10th are crazy expensive today. About $70 per person more than the 9th or the 11th. This is probably because of the NCAA Football Championship on the 9th in Tampa.

Hey fellow Marathon Weekend'ers! I don't believe I've posted it here, but we've got a Disboards community group on the Strava website. Come train with us and help keep each other motivated. All paces and distances are welcome!

This site does itIs there a way to transfer my existing data from Garmin Connect into Strava? I've got the connection set up between the two, but haven't been able to figure out how to get my existing data imported.
