Marathon Weekend 2017!

We made it! Mateojr was feeling sick last night, but this morning he said he was ready to go. I broke my rule of not carrying anything and brought my phone along for him to use during the waits. He happily waited in our corral (stayed busy with the phone calculator/some occasional dancing) and very much enjoyed meeting @DopeyBadger (congrats on that PR!) Race started, he had a good pace going and then . . . it all falls apart. He announced (loudly and frequently for the majority of the race) that he cannot do this, and is upset that it's his "worst time ever." In the end, he made it and he danced across that finish line. After he explained his running history and reason for his "worst time ever" to a photopass photographer, he seemed ready to move on. He's thrilled with his "real Disney medal" (not rubber) and I'm grateful for all the fellow runners who helped me encourage him along the way!!

HOORAY @mateojr for running the 5k this morning! It was a pleasure getting to meet you this morning! Sorry to hear it wasn't everything you hoped for. Happy to hear you love he medal. It's pretty sweet!

Sorry that we didn't meet with you guys. We looked and didn't find the group. What should I look for tomorrow?

I'll have a "DIS" poster around my neck. @surfde22 is pretty tall as well so look for a really tall person. We were positioned, if viewing the corrals, in between the gear check at the end of the alphabet and portapotties.

Yeah. I left to go grab lunch at the Contemporary. I had fastpasses for MK but I just canceled all of them because I can't bring myself to go back there...

Animal Kingdom is quite crowded today too. Not that crowded but way more than I expected.

There are some nice quiet spots at Flame Tree Barbecue. Come have a quiet lunch!

Panic mode!! Who else is flying in tomorrow?! Our flight leaves PA at 1:30pm, leaves Charlotte at 4:30pm, and arrives to MCO at 6:30pm. I just got an email from American Airlines saying that they are letting you change your flight because of winter storm Helena. I haven't even been following this stupid storm! My only change option is to leave at 6am. I don't know if I should do it or not!

They ran white behind each wave and spaced them 2 min apart in the corral. Relatively easy....still annoyed at people who walk but force themselves in front of the corral - and I was in A!!!! It's ok to walk in the faster corrals but do it on the side rather than in the damn middle. Come on!

They also got off a little. My brother and I were middle front of corral B and went off as the 4th wave of A.

Delta did the same thing so I moved my flight from 12:30pm to 7:10am. I figured even if it gets delayed, at least I am on an early flight, before things start backing up due to late/cancelled flights.

I'm flying out tomorrow too, but I think I'm beating the snow by mere minutes. Scheduled to start in Boston at 7... plane takes off at 7:07 AM. so far no options to change my flight, but they did give me the option to voluntarily bump myself. That is because I think they shrunk the plane, not the snow. I went from seat 10F to 4F
