I didn't even see the jacket option on registration, did any of you? I may sign up for that as I got it last year and LOVED it.

lol that really is horrible. I actually liked the preorder jacket at PHM better than the one they sold at the expo though. But, from what I have seen all of the race preorder jackets are that same jacket (champion full zip, no thumb holes) with a different design. It was also the same jacket as TOT.

OMG!! Yep, I did it!!! I'm in for the Goofey. Supposed I could have waited til I really felt certain but got some great responses and swept up in the excitement.

This is a joke - coming from Australia and can't get 9 year old into only event we can do as a family the 5km. Our whole trip was planned around this weekend.

Go through a travel provider (Get Travel, Acclaim, etc.). They have 5K bibs and it looks like that's the one race they aren't requiring a hotel stay to register.

IMO a lottery will never happen with rundisney. It is a family vacation type race so they will leave it for people to at least have a shot to register together. Lotteries make sense for races like NYC and marine corps where it is more competitive and less of a fun run.

A lottery for the Disney races makes no sense,the Mickey Miles podcast recently did a show on the Run Disney registration fiasco and everyone on the show was in complete agreement that a lottery at Disney races would be horrible and make no sense,first because unlike the few lottery races out there the Disney races are about the family and a vacation and a lottery would not work.Second,the demand is not as much as the few lottery races out there,we're 90 minutes in and the only races to sell out are the smaller 5K and 10K,the full marathon might be open for a month or two.If Disney just created a new full race weekend and brought back ToT the registrations would be a bit easier,especially for W&D which right now is by far the most in demand race.Disney races registrations are what they are,you have to be online at noon,if you have an AP or DVC you also have the ability to register early.If you asked me for the January races maybe they should increase capacity for the 5K and 10K,the Dopey just fills these races up too fast and families should have a better chance to register.As far as lotteries I just got an email that I got into Chicago,aside from seeing the Disney registration madness that's another reason I took off work today.

as someone suggested try the travel providers and also the fundraising pages you'll have to raise a certain amount for whatever charity you choose but it is an option
