Marine corps is lottery as well. I have a friend who made it it. That would make the most sense.

IMO a lottery will never happen with rundisney. It is a family vacation type race so they will leave it for people to at least have a shot to register together. Lotteries make sense for races like NYC and marine corps where it is more competitive and less of a fun run.

I called Rundisney and they confirmed that my early registration from yesterday is fine. Active did too. I only registered for one of 4 races yesterday and waited for everything else until 12. I didn't really think it would go through. I guess I'm lucky that it didn't get cancelled. I got my 10K and the kids races today too! Good luck to all.

Tip for those in a race to do multiple registrations... have your credit card # ready to copy & paste. Seriously cuts down on time.

They won't put the real percentage until it's 50% or above.

I am caught up in the excitement and considering goofy .....!
There are those who would call me crazy, how many of you who have signed up have never done a marathon before????

I am only considering because I consider RD races to be nonthreatening, any input in the middle of this insanity?!

Take a photo of the computer screen with your phone. They were turning everyone down with my wine and dine issue but when I sent them the photo they replied within the hour and fixed it!

I have my confirmation printed...I also searched for it and im there so im not worried anymore...oddly enough I logged into my active account for the marathon but not the 2 5k's (since one was my wife anyway) so I don't know if that's the reason for the delay but im not worried anymore I can see my registration and I have confirmation just no email

Twitter just confirmed 10k is sold out and 5k is at 90%

I got a phone call this morning saying that my registration from yesterday was not authorized and would be refunded. I did manage to get in today and sign myself and my dh up for the 10k. I received two payment receipt emails, but I have not received any registration confirmations yet.

I have done a marathon before--but the first time I signed up--I had NEVER done run and hadn't even done a 5K in over 10 years AND.....I wasn't really fit at the time either. Went on to do a half (supposed to be full, but had knee surgery) and a goofy. I really enjoyed the goofy.

Not beeing able to speak to rD.
As I got an email confirmation and my credit card was charged for the 10k, my guess is that rD will eventually refresh my registrations.
I sure hope so.

Last year my first marathon was part of the Goofy Challenge. I trained a lot and completed the distances in training and I was able to handle it just fine. Now no one was going to mistake me for fast, but I did the distance and had a great time. If you do the training you can do it. Go for it.

Go for it! Disney races are a great way to challenge yourself to new distances. Plenty of photo ops and support to make the miles fly by.

Did anyone else register for the commemorative pin (s), and get confirmation, but not get charged? I noticed when I was doing it that it appeared to not charge me. I registered for Dopey ($550) and the total, before I hit submit, was $586 (all those fees!)....I had clicked the box for the dopey pin bundle...but at the time, I just wanted to complete the registration because I was worried about it filling up, and thought I could just worry about the pins later.

So, I got a confirmation email that I was registered for the pins, and when I look at that confirmation website link, it says I am registered for the pins--but my credit card is only showing the pending charge of $586 for the race....
