Marathon Week

Our first family DVC trip is scheduled from Jan. 3-Jan 10th. Recently I found out this was during the Marathon week-end. We have reservations for a grand villa at BLT for the entire week . I recently found out that some of our party will be leaving on the 8th. What I would like to know is what kind of crowds are we looking at because of the marathon? Will it be difficult to switch to either a 1-bedroom or a studio for the 8th and 9th of Jan?We will not know the exact number that will be staying for the full week until July 7th. Thanks for any help or information you can give me on this.

since you are on the monorail you wont have to deal with the transportation (road closed early for runners)

I did try and get a studio at BLT at 10 months out, and there was no availability - for that week... decided to go with Boardwalk, not sure about any thing else - your best bet would be to call MS.

Crowds won't be too bad, but changing rooms might be. You won't know for sure until you call MS.
