Marathon Week 2013

Hoping to stay at BLT, BCV, or BWV in a studio for Marathon Week next year. I will not be able to book until the 7 month mark (June). Do I have a shot at any of these, or should I consider other resorts as back ups? Thanks!

High demand nights are the Thursday through Monday that includes marathon weekend, and getting any of those three resorts will be difficult for those nights

You know you have to take a bus to and from the start if you stay at BWV or BCV, right? Epcot is closed when the race starts so you can't go through the park to get to the start. And you need a ticket to get through after the finish.

BLT is on the monorail, which makes it very handy. We tried to change to BLT to a one bedroom villa for the 2011 marathon and it never came through. Maybe you'll be lucky.

We could not get into BCV or BW at 7 months for the 2012 weekend, so we stayed at OKW. As it turns out, you can walk from building 9 at OKW to the start line. Worked out pretty well. We'll probably go back to OKW next year.

We are also going to shoot for BWV at 7 months for the Marathon Weekend. Have a studio at SSR right now. But, if we have to settle for OKW, that is fine with me as well.

We were able to get BWV studio from Friday to Wednesday of Marathon week this past January and didn't book until a couple weeks after our 7 month window. We could not get BCV for any a studio or one bedroom, which is what we wanted, but really enjoyed our stay at BWV.

Doing some more reading, I think I am just going to shoot for OKW based on availability and prime location to the start of the race. We would like a 1BR to take advantage of the tub and W&D.
