Marathon Scarves?

I was talking to Karebear1 about how the Wish Walkers were going to find each other the morning of the marathon during the corral/pre-race time. We'll all probably have layers of clothing on, so a T-shirt would be more helpful later in the race. I'm going to make very simple lime-green fleece scarves (realy just long cut pieces...they don't fray, so sewing won't be neccesary). I may do something with glow in the dark paint. These should be considered part of your disposable clothing, but might help us recognize each other.

I would be happy to make enough for everyone who'd like one. The fleece is very inexpensive, so I would be happy to cover the cost. I just don't want to make too many.

I haven't figured out how to distribute them. I'll be staying at POP, so maybe we could have a pick-up time, or if we have a meet friday or saturday I can bring them there.

I'll be arriving at POP on Friday afternoon. I think I'm going to request '50's building......Nativetxn told me some room numbers where you can see this high fireworks from Illuminations AND Wishes from the 3rd and 4th floors. Have you and Geety and Tiger Lily 03 requested room locations??? Anyone else staying at POP?

I WAS staying at Pop, and was looking forward to it. I stayed there last May for the first time, and really liked it! But then I wasn't able to get an AP discount there, so I'll be at All Star Music instead.

I just wanted everyone to know that I'm truly happy to make a scarf for anybody who wants one. My cost is incredibly minimal (under 50 cents a scarf). You've all given me so much support that it's just a tiny gesture to say thank you.

Hi all!

I went to the sale at the fabric store today and was able to get enough fabric for approx. 24-30 scarves. I though/ t I could get more, but there was quite a run on lime green fleece. There were at least four other people with lime green fleece in their cart. Who knew it would be so popular ? Based on the number of people who've asked for one so far, I think I'll have plenty of fabric.

As for distributing the scarves, I'm kind of waiting to see if there is a meet on saturday. That would probably be the easiest way. I'm staying at POP Century, if some of you are staying there we could arrange to meet. I'm sure there are many other options. I'll make sure everyone who asked for one gets one. I'm so excited! It's coming up so quickly!

Karebear1, I'll arrive at BCV on the 8th if I'm still going alone. If my DH gets to go with me, we'll drive down Friday, the 7th. I intend to take the bus since it's my understanding that they won't let us walk through Epcot. Is this correct?
