Marathon Registration ?

How fast does the WDW marathon fill up?

I want to do it in Jan 2013 but I'm dealing with an injury right now. I should be ok but I want to be sure before I register.

Once you register, I'm assuming it is non-refundable, right?

Can you transfer from the marathon to the relay or to the half if you have registered for the full marathon?

You can "defer" to the half marathon or the relay if you've signed up for the full. You have to re-register and then they refund your original payment (minus $35).

On the rundisney website, they post what % each race has sold out. I don't think I registered until late fall for the full marathon for '12.

I do think a lot of races are beginning to sell out quicker though. I registered for Chicago on day 1 because I knew I wanted to run it. Sold out in 31 days last year, and in 5 days 2 hours this year.

With this being the 20th anniversary, I'd expect that it will sell quicker than usual. (And per friends who asked at the runDisney booth at a marathon last weekend, there will be no relay option. You either run the half or the full. Or both.)
