Marathon Merchandise sneak peek

And of course purchase your "I Did It" shirts well in advance of completing the races.

I like some of the more general Marathon Weekend merchandise for 2015. Wondering if they'll have jackets for Goofy and marathon similar to what is shown for the half and Dopey, or if nothing is shown because they only did jackets for those two... missed out on what looked to be a nice jacket at W&D getting to the expo late, but would like to have one from Marathon Weekend if possible.

I like the magic band, Goofy Sweatshirt, and possibly the in training long sleeve

Am I the only one who hates "I Did It" instead of "Finisher"? And there's no way I will ever buy one in advance.

I Did It! Sounds a lot more exciting and happy than "finisher" to me. And if you want one you pretty much have to buy it beforehand. If you don't finish, sell it to someone that wasn't able to pick one up.

I really wish they had a Marathon Monday like NY marathon. That's an expo day post race where they sell the finisher merchandise. I also liked that they offered jackets that had finisher embroidered on them.

Absolutely! It seems like bad luck to buy anything "finisher" or "I did it" before you actually do...

I agree this would be a lot better.

"I Did It!" sounds like something my nephews would say, just not my thing. I know I'm in the minority, so since that's added to having to buy it before you actually run a race, I'll just pass completely.

I picked up finisher shirts in the post-race area at the Marine Corps Marathon and Nike Women's Half (the only races I cared enough to stand in line again to have finisher gear) after the race. There is certainly room for it at WDW and even DL, even if only back at WWOS or one of the DL hotels.

The Marathon Monday idea sounds good, too.

Yeah. I feel like I need to finish a race before I can wear any of the merchandise.

I'd really like to do marine corps someday. I think disney is definitely enough of a destination race that a post race expo would be profitable.

Seriously bad karma buying finisher's gear before you've run the race, I agree. 'I Did It!" kinda sounds like a Dora the Explorer victory song...

I'm with you. Although I did buy a string bag with a Minnie head and "26.2" to use after the race. I knew I'd want something extra but I'm not really into the WDW marathon merchandise. I'll use my 13.1 bag throughout the week, and if I finish, I'll use the 26.2 bag for the last day. My family is joking that, if something goes wrong, I can pull out the decimal point embroidery and move it over to read "2.62." :)

IMO, "I Did It" is a self proclamation at the completion of the event, whereas, "Finisher" is a notification to others of one's success.

e.g.-upon the completion of my first Ironman Florida, with joy in my voice and some moisture in my eyes I yelled, "I Did It" and after walking a few feet farther, a volunteer handed me a shirt and hat that had Ironman Florida FINISHER on them.

FINISHER holds more importance to me. To each their own, and I have no issues with it.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2, a Marathon Monday would be nice.

Dope McFlurry John--finisher :)

MERCH!!! Shopping time!!! :) :cool1:

I kinda wish the finishers shirts would be given at the end of the races not with packet pickup. Something you earn... I like to wear my finisher's shirt right after I shower after the race. It's become a ritual of sorts... the "I Did It!" shirt the next day.
