Marathon Idea

My Mom and DD are going with me to the marathon and I got one for each of us. My DD says "My Mommy is in the Disney Marathon. January 9th, 2005, I love you Mommy!", my Mom's says "My daughter is in the marathon, January 9th, 2005, Good Luck Jennifer", and mine says "I'm in the Disney Marathon, January 9th, 2005, I can do it!"

Not sure when that weekend we will wear them but thought it was a cute idea and just wanted to share.

What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing it! I like what you are having put on yours, if you don't mind I might do the same type of thing for myself and my friend and her son that are coming with me to walk. I could surprise them with their shirts when we get on the plane!

The Disney Store called and said I couldn't use the word "Disney" on the shirt. I had to change it to just "marathon" instead of "Disney marathon". Oh well, they are still cute.

Don't forget if you do rewards programs to go through their sites.

hey guys - nice idea, and you'll wear them - and just a suggestion if anyone else reads this and thinks it's a great idea - put your name on your t-shirt if you're going to actually run in it, then people watching (any people not just friends and family) are more likely to cheer you on by name -I ran with my tigger hat and the shouts of 'go tigger' really motivated me,

has anyone gotten their t-shirts yet? just wondering on the sizing? I've noticed Disney clothing is usually a tad on the big side; but a regular cotton shirt I just ordered (not t-shirt) was more on the small side for the size. What's your opinion on these t-shirts??

I just ordered my shirts - there was an issue with what I requested, but spoke with a CM at TDS yesterday and it's all squared away.

I ordered this:

Half Marathon at
Walt Disney World
January 9, 2005

I originally wanted Walt Disney World as the 1st line, Half Marathon on the 2nd line ---- what the CM told me is that you can have the name of the park (as long as it's all spelled out--can't be Disney, WDW, etc) but there also must be the word "at", "in" or another one that I can't remember.

I don't plan to wear this during the actual race - I remember that there was talk of getting a WISH Walkers shirt, so was probably going to wear that.....this shirt will be worn probably the day after.

I just ordered 3 shirts for me, my DH and my DD. Mine says-
My Husband, Daughter and I FINISHED the Half Marathon at Walt Disney World - January 9, 2005. The other 2 are similar, with the words, Wife or Mom and Dad substituted. I'm really excited to get these in the mail! I am planning on giving these shirts to them on the day of the marathon- when we are done!! Thanks for the heads up! It was a GREAT idea!!!

Monica- How did your shirts turn out? Do they look like they're good quality? Are the sizes accurate??

I got my shirts over the weekend too. They are great! I ordered an XL and I have plenty of room. I'm getting really excited about the Marathon!

The shirts I ordered were both XL - not sure if they will shrink at all. Looks like good quality...haven't taken them out of the plastic yet....I think if I do, it'll be harder to hold on to Colette's for a present.
