I highly recommend the Spibelt. I've been using one for about a year and wear it to every race. It looks really small but expands a lot. I've carried my camera in it a few times with no problem and it fits along with packs of Clif Blocks and GU. One bit of caution though, the material is really thin so whatever is inside can get sweat on it very easily. If it's a long race, you may want to put your camera in front of other things or in a Ziploc.
The now have a water proof version of the spibelt available. I have used it several times and had no problems with sweat getting on the objects inside.
The last time I went down, I just carried it in my hand. I wrapped the strap around my wrist and went. I have a hard time with the pressure that belts put on my abdomen so if it does not go in a pocket it gets held.
I think the ifitness belts have a lot less "bounce" than the spibelts. The ifitness belts are made a little differently. I've seen them at just about every expo, and they were at disney last year. There is one with two pockets, and I was able to carry my phone and camera and didn't even notice it!
I always bring a camera along for the Disney races. In the past I've used a fanny pack, a Spibelt, the pocket of my shorts, and most recently I've gotten a Race Ready running skirt with pockets across the back and have carried it in there.
Thanks so much for the SPIbelt recommendation!!! Mine came in the mail yesterday - I also ordered the race bib ties (though since we're using B-tags at my race tomorrow I can't try them out yet). My camera AND inhaler (for just in case) fit perfectly!!
