Mara after AK closing...

If we go to Mara after AK closes, how hard is it to get back to POR using disney transportation? I assume we would need to catch a bus going to TTC and pick up a bus to POR from there? How long does this take (give or take?). Trying to decide if this would be worth it. Thanks!

Resort buses do not go to the TTC. You would need to catch the first bus going to an open park, then transfer to a POR bus. If all the parks were already closed, you would have to take a DS bus and transfer to either the POR bus, or the boat.

Transportation time is hard to estimate. If you don't have to wait for either bus, it could be as little as 30 minutes. Or it could take over an hour.

A taxi would be faster, and around $20. Uber would be less.

You could catch a bus going to Disney springs and transfer from there. Its not a sure thing but if the bus is fairly empty and you mention your heading back to POR the driver might take you straight there.

Ok thats good to know, we've always had a car and never done disney transportation so this will be our first time ever having to rely on it!

In regards to tax or uber, we have a 2.5 year old...is it even possible to transport him in either without a car seat? I don't think either provide carseats?

I've heard that some taxis have car seats in the trunk for such situations. I don't know about Uber but I would assume that it would be easier to call and get a taxi with a car seat than an Uber with a car seat.

FWIW, I don't think The Mara is "all that" and certainly not worth the extra trouble you'll have to go through to eat there. If your main focus is visiting AKL, that another thing.
