Maps for your guests question

When including maps of Disney for your guests, did you all pick up maps at your planning sessions or did you have them customized through Disney's Website and how did you go about getting enough copies and even some extras just incase? I don't want to be rude for asking Disney for 100+ Maps of each Park, DTD, Resorts, DME, etc., but want to make sure I have enough for everyone. We know some of our guests don't have computers, so thy will need a paper copy. We wanted to include them with our STDs as well as welcome bags. Any suggestions on how you went about including maps would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Our wedding planner told us to ask at guest services at Downtown Disney to get all the maps. She was right... we didn't have any problem asking for 50 copies of each one :goodvibes

Thank you for your reply. I know Disney has Millions of Maps for the parks and such, I just don't want them thinking Im crazy for asking for a large quantity .

Is there anyway you can have copies of the maps sent to you as i wont be down to disney until the wedding? Thanks!

My planner had told me no in 2008, but I wonder if you tried calling a Guest Services number if you could get someone to send them. I know I did get some other Disney brochures through my AAA office in my hometown too. They weren't park maps, but had lots of Disney info in them.

I guess I could order 1 copy of the custom maps(keep the originals sent by Disney for our scrapbook, and make colored photocopies and extras for anyone who forgets and a cute envelope or folder to place them in for our guests. I know we only have a few guests who don't have a computer or the Internet, so I know they need hard paper copies. Everyone else we know can get maps online themselves(but I'd love to save them the trouble).

I love the idea of the Disney Brochures from AAA, however I know we're trying not to make our STDs all that heavy to eliminate excessive postage(unless I do a paper copy of our STD for our guests w/o a computer and mail the couple of maps to them, then have links and an electronic STD with Maps On our website for everyone else. That may eliminate the need for 250 paper maps (one in STD and one in welcome bag). And very little extra to have to bring home with us.

The custom maps through the disney website are much larger than the regular park maps and would require several sheets of paper per map....I ordered them

Thank you very much for the heads up on paper size. I'm pretty sure Kinkos or Staples
Copy Center may have the right paper size
though to copy them and have better color
quality than my printer/copier.
