Map of smoking areas?

HI! we are taking my mom with us to DLR (staying onsite). She is not usually a traveler, but we convinced her to come along with us and her grand daughter. My mom has been a smoker all her life and I want to make sure to make this trip easier on her by having a map or clear way to help her know where she can smoke. She only smokes on her porch at home (ever since having grandkids) so she is used to going "out" to have a cigarette. I have read a description of the smoking areas, but I am not familiar with the parks or Disneyland Hotel (this will only be our 2nd time ever). Is there a map or are the areas clearly marked on the park map? I appreciate any advice!!

I checked out the Adventureland tower when I was there last, and basically walked through it from inside the hotel complex to the outside towards DTD. The smoking area was there. The ash trays were OVERFLOWING... looked like porcupines. Must have been a stressful day, or the CMs weren't emptying them timely.

You can pick-up a guide at the front gate.
There are only 2 that I know of. One just east of Matterhorn mountain and the other just west of Potc next to Rivers of America.

There is also one at the back-side of Big Thunder Mountain - on the trail between Frontierland and Fantasyland.

You can download PDF versions of the current guidemaps for each park now on the individual park pages on the Disneyland website. The DSA's (Designated Smoking Areas) should be marked on the maps.

The smoking areas are on the maps. You can smoke between the parks. PPs listed the DL areas. In DCA one is between TSMM and the swings, one behind Grizzly River Run, and one behind Monster's Inc. You can smoke at the back entrances of Adventure and Frontier towers, but the best place to smoke at DLH is at the outdoor firplace outside Trader Sam's - it is gorgeous and relaxing.

Hi Shelby, here's a link to the DLR website page on smoking areas with a nice interactive map (partway down the page) that shows each smoking area for each park and hotel.

https://disneyland.disney.go.com/guest-services/smoking/

Just a note that at Disneyland Park the area near Rivers of America/New Orleans Square is definitely the most scenic, right on the water, but it's also the busiest and there is often no place to sit. It also gets quite hot on hot days. If you want some shade I'd recommend the spot between Matterhorn and Autopia.

Edit, I love that the url gets truncated in the link above to shorten "services" to "vices".... ;)

I don't think that map is up to date. I know for sure the smoking area by Condor Flats is gone. I've never seen the one by Mike & Sully, wonder how I missed that?

For whatever reason, the area behind Big Thunder is not on the paper park map. I never noticed because we don't use maps anymore. A lady at the Rivers of America location pointed it out to me and it took a lot to convince her it was actually there, lol.

Yeah, I noticed that about the Big Thunder location not being on the paper map. Made me wonder if they might be moving/eliminating it?

I'm not surprised you missed the Mike & Sully one in DCA, especially if you don't use the paper maps, it's waaaaaaaaaay in the corner.
