Map from Beach Club to DHS

Does anyone have a map / picture of the path you take to walk from Beach Club to DHS?

We walked it once. Maybe I'm a wimp, but I won't do that again.

By comparison, I've walked BC to Epcot (a breeze) and Contemporary to MK (longer, but easy). I feel like it was at least a 20 minute walk to DHS, and it wasn't really pleasant. It was actually kind of frustrating. I would take a boat next time.

To each their own. We love the walk from BC to DHS. Find it relaxing along the canal and my kids love to wave at the boats and try to make them honk their horns.

Will be at Disney tomorrow and look forward to the morning walk from BC to DHS for our early morning breakfast.

I think the boats take just as long as walking to get to DHS, depending on where you get on it. We also love to walk from BWV and find it the quickest way to get to another hotel.

We did the walk from YC on Sunday.
Did it in the AM because no boats running that early.
It was not bad at all
Oddly enough, I also discovered it is about the same length of time as the boat.
When we took a mid day break DH and DGD started off walking and I went to take the boat. The boat arrived within minutes of me walking up. We boarded and passed DH and DGD about the time they reached the first building of the Boardwalk resort. By the time we got to the YC boat dock DH and DGD were walking in the room.
As a side note, there were no ECVs on the boat I was on so no added time for them to board/disembark. There were just a few people at the DHS boat dock and just a few on/off at Swan/Dolphin. So the time for each was just avg. If there had been a lot of people on the boat at either stop walking would have been much faster.

Approx. how long would this walk take from YC to DHS? We have breakfast reservations and will be pushing a stroller. I'm a runner, but DH is not a fast walker. I want to make sure we have an idea how long this walk would take. Any idea how long the boat takes from YC to DHS? We've taken the boat back and forth a few times between the two parks, but we never thought to time it (and certainly didn't time it between each stop).

I rather walk than take the boat, but I hate waiting around for transportation when there is an option to walk. When it is just me and my mom (on an EVC) it takes us about 10 minutes if I have my NYC morning commute walk on , 15 or so if walking regular.

If you going in the middle of the afternoon it does get hot (the walkway isn't covered and there are points that aren't shaded and you can be walking in direct sun for a good stretch) so keep that in mind... August at 2pm

Just as a side note we were staying at BC last year, one family member took the boat so we separated after leaving HS (there was not a boat at the dock so she had to wait). The rest of us walked, cut through pool area once we got to BC, stopped at bakery for a snack, continued over the bridge by Epcot and walked into the BC lobby the same time as the person who took the boat.

The boat often takes longer if you miss it. The walk is peaceful for us--hey, what's another mile in the grand scheme of all the walking done at WDW?

From our room it was about 20 min for me, 15 for DH and DGD. Our room was located on the 4th floor, straight down the hall from the elevator that comes out by the laundry room so we used the side door anytime we came and went, other than check in/check out. It's right at a mile and flat so just figure how fast you can walk a mile and that's how long it would take you. I tend to not only walk slow but stop and speak to ducks every so often

The boat probably took about 20 min from HS to YC dock with the stop at Swan/Dolphin in between. Time really depends on how many folks are getting on/off too. And if there are ECV. That can add quite a bit of time

I agree with 20 minutes. I read reports of 10 minutes, which is why we embarked on the walk. No way was it 10 minutes. If the walk from the Contemporary to the MK is 10 minutes, this is easily twice that long.

I have no doubt that the boat takes that long as well, potentially longer depending on how long you have to wait to catch the boat. Like a PP, I get frustrated waiting for the boat to show up, which is another reason we tried the walk. We even walked back (after we hated the walk there), because there was a long wait for a boat.

Regardless, I want to chime in and let people know it was longer than I thought it would be based on things I read.

Agreed, we find it to be a wonderfully pleasant walk, especially in the early morning hours. There are often ducks along the path to greet you as well . We never take the boat.

It's about a mile, so however long it takes your husband to walk that far. It's typically about 20 minutes.

The boat typically takes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how long you have to wait.

I've clocked it on Map My Walk phone app. It measured just under .9 mile from outside YC to DHS entrance. I agree with 20 minutes. We almost always walk to DHS from YC/BC -- unless it is midday and BLAZING hot out, then we might wait for the boat. The path is not shady.
