Mandymouse's Magic & May Madness (Completed 16/6)

The view from the top of the cable cars looks amazing, I am such s height wimp thought I dont know if I would ever get up there. Señor Frogs sounds bonkers you would have had to roll me back on to the ship, note to self never do that cruise as a foursome, a total recipe for disaster!

Loving your evening dress Mandy :cutie: You looked fab!

And the crazyness at Señor Frogs - I don't think DF would ever leave :lmao: I'd have to drag him back to the ship.

Those views from the top of the cable cars are just 'wow!' It looks ever so pretty - defo makes me want to do a Disney cruise someday.

Looking forward to more...

I just came across this my accident. It is nice to see that you were back on the Magic. It is such a shame that your beach excursion was cancelled, but it sounds like you still had a wonderful day.

Thursday 12th May '11 ~ Day at Sea

We had a very lazy start to the day. We got up and found some loungers up on deck 10 and we lay out till around 11.15am in the lovely warm sunshine (it wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze too)

We went back to our room and got ready for some lunch in Lumiere's. It was lovely and quiet in there as there was a seafood buffet in Parrot Cay

Paul's burger and Mickey head ketchup

I started with cream of spinach soup and Paul had a crab cake, next I had a pasta dish and Paul had a Philly burger with fat proper chips (& some Mickey head ketchup) :rotfl: We finished off with a cheesecake and bread & butter pudding and enjoyed a Deja Vu cocktail each

We spent the next few hours just chilling in our room, watching Lost, shopping or lying out in the sun, it was a very relaxing day

Sadly today was High Tea in Palo, and we hadn't been able to get a reservation (boo, hoo)

We tried to chat to Kerry and Becky on Skype, but the connection was rubbish again, so after a brief chat we gave up on that

The ship was sailing back at break neck speed so it was a bit of a rocky trip back to Castaway Cay. We'd had 2 sea days to get to St. Maarten, but there was only one day to get to Disney's private island. I did feel for anyone who suffered from sea sickness, as it was sometimes quite difficult to walk (no don't blame the cocktails ;))

Tonight it was Semi-Formal night, and as the menu contained a lot of fish, we decided to eat at Topsiders. We grabbed a drink on deck 9, where it was raining for the first time on this cruise, and after a little wait we were seated

Paul started with mushroom soup and I had some Italian meats, then Paul had a huge porterhouse steak and I had turkey with sweet potato (Mmm). We ordered an Asti and Rosa Regale then finished off with cheesecake for us both. We really enjoyed our meal here and were pleased that we gave our rotational restaurant a miss tonight

After dinner we got changed and wandered down to Diversions, then briefly watched a comedian in Rockin' Bar D. The comedian was so unfunny, yet the Americans and Canadians were rolling around laughing

Once the comedian finished, a disco started up and for the next few hours we had a great time. There weren't many people left in there, but those of us who were, had a good old boogie and a fun time. The Captain Mai Tais were particularly strong, and DJ Matt (from England) played whatever we asked for. I think the disco finished around 2am, and our drunken enthusiasm had us agreeing to attend the disco on the final night (yeah ! we'll see about that :rolleyes1)

lovely lazy day, the disco sounds fun :thumbsup2 how many tops can you wear in one day? I tihkn you must hold the record for that one:thumbsup2

Sounds like you had another fantastic day. It is a shame that you did not get tea in Palo though. That does not bode well for us if you were not able to get tea as Platinum members then we probably have no chance as lowly Gold members for our next cruise.

A nice day Mandy :)

Ended off by a great night by the sounds & looks of it too.

 Thanks for taking the time to read my trip report guys, and for the lovely comments too. It's also lovely to see the 'Bahama Mamas' posting on here too ::yes::

Corinna, there weren't any High Tea reservations when we booked this cruise as we booked quite late, I'm sure it was less than 90 days even, so you may have a chance at getting a ressie :wizard: I hope you do

It sounds like a lovely day, I so need to eat at Topsiders one night, it looks so relaxed. The disco sounds like lots of fun - come on mrs what's with the cone lol

Loving the trip report Mandy! And all the cocktails! You're a gal after my own heart ;) can't wait for more
