Saturday 6th January 07
I got up around 7am, had a quick shower and got ready to open my presents as its MY BIRTHDAY !!
Paul had bought me a lovely dress, and I also got a Stitch toy, a Pirate Goofy toy, Pirate ear-rings, a Pirate bracelet and a Polynesian Lilo & Stitch pin.
I put my Birthday button and the Birthday Girl tiara that Id bought Kerry and I was ready to Par-tay !!
We had an ADR for 10.30am for breakfast with Lilo & Stitch, and this was our first visit to the Polynesian, we took the bus over to the Magic Kingdom, where we caught the monorail over to the Poly. Now for years Paul & I have always wanted to stop at the Contemporary Resort, it was a .. if I win the lottery kind of thing ~ But today, I fell in love with the Polynesian Resort, it was beautiful.
We were a bit early, so we had photos taken in the lobby next to the waterfall and we had a look around the shop. Around 10am we checked in with the CM who noticed my Birthday button and we were given a pager. After 10 minutes the pager went off and we had our photo taken. For my birthday I was given a Hawaiian Lie and a card signed by Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto.
The breakfast was wonderful, we really enjoyed the food, which was similar to the Princess Storybook where it is brought out in a skillet. We had photos taken with Lilo, Stitch and Pluto (Mickey wasnt there) and I had a great time listening to some of the music from the Lilo & Stitch movie. Once again we bought the photo of the four of us, which was a lovely souvenir as on one side it had our photo and on the other side was a photo of Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto.
After breakfast I bought a few Polynesian Resort souvenirs and then we went back to the Pop, where I started packing for the Cruise and doing some washing. It was a really mad afternoon as we had to return to the Poly (as Becky had bought a photo frame and it was broke), then we dashed to DTD so Kerry could buy a bag and hat and then Paul wanted to go to the outlets at Lake Buena Vista to get some trainers.
Once back at the Pop, we caught the bus to Epcot to meet up with Betsy & Mike again. We popped to The Land for cakes where the CM at the checkout gave me a cookie free for my birthday and then we met Betsy and Mike in the Rose & Crown at 6pm. She bought me a lovely bottle of perfume and we sat chatting in the pub till they left for their 7.30pm ADR in the restaurant. Betsy vanished for a few minutes and when she returned the piano player informed the pub of a birthday and while I sat there going a rather fetching deep red colour, everyone started singing Happy Birthday. When I finally thought the embarrassment was over, he then broke out into Barry Manilows Oh Mandy (Thanks Betsy !! ~ only joking).
We said our goodbyes to Betsy & Mike saying that the next time wed see each other would be at the Disney Wonder terminal where we were meeting up with a few other DISers around 10am.
We left the Rose & Crown and had tea in Morocco and then we caught the bus back to the Pop to finish off the packing.
I had a fantastic birthday, I had a great breakfast with Stitch, met some lovely friends and it was wonderful when not only the Castmembers would wish me a Happy Birthday, but complete strangers would too ~ It was a very special day.

None of us have ever had a WDW Birthday as we only ever go in August, maybe we will have change our Birthday too.
I'm going to have to organise a trip to coincide with my birthday one day - at least I'm safe from Barry Manilow songs...
