Manatees?!?!? HOW did I not know EPCOT has MANATEES!!!!!!!

I see you're going in October or November. If you have time you should drive over to the Tampa area and see the manatees in the wild: http://www.tampaelectric.com/manatee/ They hang out near the power plant when the water is colder. We saw literally a hundred manatees when were were there in December 2009.

Hey fellow Wisconsinite! We actually went over to the area you're describing last February and saw tons of manatees that time of year. We were told there were probably more than normal because of the extremely cold February. It was really cool to just stand there and watch them.

There are currently two manatees- Lou is the big guy missing a good chunk of his tail. Jasper is the little guy (half of Lou's size). He was a cold water rescue last year after being released the year prior. He got into trouble again.

The manatees are my favorite, in case you can't tell.

Aww I remember Lou! I didn't get to see them last time I was at WDW; I'll definitely have to make a stop by their tank next trip!

I read a review that if you time your visit right, you can help feed them?!? SERIOUSLY!!??!?!

When we were there in Nov, we were up at the top of the tank. The CM kept tossing what looked like bunches of lettuce into the tank. I didn't see anything about visitors feeding them.
