Managing different contracts with different use years

Hi everyone

Just a quick question. Does the online system allow you to pull points from different contracts with different use years to secure a booking, or do you have to a) put it together piece by piece or b) let MS do all the hard work?

You cannot use points from different memberships to book a single reservation online. You can do a couple of things.

You can call MS and transfer points from one membership to the other ahead of time. You can then make a reservation online that way when the time comes to make your reservation.

You can book reservations separately (same resort and room type) using the two memberships and then call MS to link the reservations as a continuing stay.

Thanks! It’s going to be slightly confused by the fact that we will look to transfer in some points in order to have enough for the whole booking. Once that happens, we’ll have used up our transfer for the year! Would MS still be able to transfer in/out as needed?

MS has transferred points between a single owner's memberships in the past without it counting against the "one in or out per UY" rule. But it definitely is not a given that you will be able to get a transfer from another owner AND transfer points in from your own membership.

They are in a separate drop down. You can't even see the other UY's points. It's like booking as two people. Sounds like you need to call to transfer.

They will transfer your own points from your own memberships more than once. However, if you have transferred in points to one of your memberships from someone else, then they will not transfer those points again.

For example, if I transfer points into my Dec UY from another owner. I can not ask MS to now move those transferred points into my June UY. MS will, and has, moved my own Dec UY points to my June UY a few times.

Points from more than one membership can never be used for a single reservation unless they are transferred from one to the next, no matter who is doing that...online or MS.

As mentioned, you can book some nights on one, and some on the other and ask MS to link so you don't have to change rooms...they will tell you that is not guaranteed but I have never had an issue...to avoid the whole transfer thing which is what I usually do.
