Manager?

I fell last night and so my husband and sons went to the park today without me. I am the planner, one son has autism. My husband and older son know how to use the app. The option for DAS is not showing up for them in the app. They went and asked for help and were told that since I didn't go to the park today, that they won't get the option in the app to use DAS. The box for DAS doesn't show up unless the account manager is in the park. Is this correct?

I was under the impression that the box only shows up if the person with the disability scans into the park that day - is the DAS associated with you or your son? I would recommend going to guest services and requesting the DAS be applied to your son to fix.

It is my son's DAS. He was in the park. They were told I had to be there, also. Very disappointing. I feel terrible because I wasn't there.

How old is your son? That may have something to do with it. If he is a child under their age of riding alone, you may be the one who is linked and needs to be there??? Just a thought. Wouldn't seem right as he should be able to go with your husband

This doesn't seem right at all. What is the account manager? Is that something that happens in the app when you link accounts or when you create a child's account?

That doesn’t sound correct.
lt may be that you need to be there to make DAS Return Times in the My Disney Experience app, but your husband should be able to make DAS Return Times without you at individual attractions or at one of the blue Guest Experience umbrellas.
It worked that way for DAS before Genie; my DH is the manager for everyone in our group, but if DD (DAS holder) and I went to a park without him, I was able to make Return Times at attractions.

in My Disney Experience, every needs a profile (not necessarily their own account).
Any guest over 13 yrs can choose to manage their own profile and plans or have someone else manage it. Guests over 16 yrs can make their own account in My Disney Experience.
In OP’s family, she is the manager. In our family, DH is the manager.
The manager is in charge of making, modifying and cancelling plans for any profile they manage.
Children under 13 need someone to create a profile for them; the person who created the profile will be assigned automatically to manage the child’s account.
This link to the Disney website explains a little more.

I don't know if this will work, but did you try to make a DAS from the hotel? Obviously you can't be listed since you aren't in the park, but on your phone in your MDE, maybe you can still make a DAS for your husband and son?

However, if it happens again I would just stop at a blue umbrella or ride to make DAS (or stop at guest relations to get them to reassign it).

I hope you have this issue worked out. If not is it possible for your husband to just sign into your MDE if he needs to be at the park without you?
