I got accepted for a Management Internship in Theme Park Operations. I am wondering if anyone else has done it, and what to expect. I don't know what area I will be in, but I am assuming I will be put in Attractions, because that is where my DLCP was. Just excited and trying to find out more info! Thanks!

Hi ther I found your post on the boards and I interviewed for that Management Internship, theme park ops. Can you tell me a little about what you did.

Hi,
I saw your posts. I interviewed on Sept.06 for the Theme Park Ops MI and two other PI's. I have been in the "In Progress" stage since Sept. 07. I applied back on August 26. So like you, I am just waiting. I have seen a few people post that they received a call for a second interview, so I am a bit nervous now. Do not know what to make of it.
I thought the first round went great. We talked for 35 minutes and laughed a lot. I was a previous manager for Disney before leaving for the airlines. I am now a graduate student working on my MBA and want to re-establish myself with the company.

Congrats! Randomly looking at boards and posts! Have fun, and let us know what it entails!

I've never been a management intern, but some advice based on what I've seen some of them do.
- Just because you are a manager does not mean you automatically know more than your cast members. Don't be afraid to ask them about best practices.
- If you're going to be working at a theater attraction, it's probably not a good idea to wear 4" high heels, and then complain that you have to go up and down stairs.
- It's never a good idea to show up hungover to a meeting with your area manager (aka your boss).
- Show up on time for your training shifts.
- Double check the quantity when ordering supplies (One area I worked in once ended up with 100 boxes of pens, rather than 10)
