A 40-year-old man is accused of stealing cash registers from the Magic Kingdom, The Polynesian and six other Disney resorts to buy crack cocaine, according to police.

Investigators said Jamie Driscoll, 40, was taken into custody by Disney security over the weekend in the lobby of the Pop Century Resort.
Witnesses described him as the man who stole about $7,000 in cash and registers from the resorts and theme park.

Deputies said Driscoll confessed to the crime and said he needed Disney's money to buy crack cocaine, Local 6 News reported.

They said on our local news that the man would go into the gift shop at a resort in the middle of the day when it wasn't too busy. He would wait for the CM to become distracted and then he would clip the wires attaching the cash register and grab the entire thing, throw it in a garbage bag, and run. He repeated this 8 times before finally being picked up on Disney property. Crazy huh?
