Finally it seems that the west coast if opening up a little more for us lot north of the Watford Gap! From summer 2016 Thomas Cook will be flying direct to Los Angeles and incidentally Boston too, twice weekly on their refurbished A330 Dreamliner’s,which has got to be good news for people wanting to go to Disneyland California.

Always good to see new routes from MAN but its all down to price. This year we are flying into Miami. MAN~MIA with TC was over £1,000pp in economy. We decided to go indirect from DUB for just over £800 in Business class. Yes its messing around and an extra night in a Dublin hotel but couldn't pay TC price.

We looked for flights yesterday and found brilliant prices on American Airlines from Birmingham - unfortunately though they were with a 2-hour connection at JFK which isn't my idea of fun, so we actually paid slightly more to fly from London (actually quite a complicated trip involving 4 different departure/arrival airports, but worked for us)
