Man jailed for starving dog while he went to Disney World.

Kutzrock also said he believes Griffin's daughter is being cared for by relatives.

You know, Social Services needs to find out where the kid is. If a man would starve his dog, he would leave his kid with anyone!

I wish people could have the same punishment they give their pet.

We had a case in New Hampshire where the girl friend was mad at her BF so she staged a brake in, took his little 1 yr doxie dog and drowned him in a bath tub.
She and her friend both got jail time in Maine and New Hampshire.

That is so sad.

I hope he never, ever, ever owns a pet again. Not even a goldfish.

I heard about this on the radio yesterday.

Child protective services did take his child after the dog was discovered. Since this maniac is going to be behind bars for a year, I'm sure someone else is taking care of her now.

This is one of the disturbing stories I've ever heard. That poor doggie...

OMG, can you imagine how that poor thing suffered? One year in jail is not enough.

I really wish there was a way to keep food & water away from him for the same length of time that his dog went without.

How hard would it have been to at LEAST leave a huge tray of food and several buckets of water?????? A kennel would have been a LOT less expensive then a year in jail.

How very true.

On the radio report, the judge said exactly that--that he wished he could sentence the guy to the same fate the dog suffered.

There is no punishment strong enough for a person who abuses a defenseless animal.

What I can't understand is how you can take a trip to Disney World- which, we all know all too well is expensive, and not have the sense/decency to arrange for food for your pet. That is a severe case of screwed up priorities.

So sad. At least they gave him the max penalty they could, although it should be longer, IMO.

He should never be allowed to own another animal of any kind.
